Alex Sedgwick
- Editor
Alex Sedgwick was born on October 3rd, 2015 in Mitcham, Victoria, Australia as Alexander Paul Sedgwick. He is an editor and animator, known for Film Theory (2015).
Being born at a time when the internet was at its infancy, Alex was not unfamiliar to the strange and abstract. In 2007, Alex found a hobby in video editing by editing existing footage to entertain his friends. He later discovered that this was a growing trend, known as 'YouTube Poop' (but often referred to as 'YTP' due to the rather unfavourable title), with an ever-growing community. In 2013, Alex edited a 'YTP' using footage from Frozen (2013), which became a sensation in the online community, gaining over 14 million views on YouTube in a year.
Alex progressed his YouTube channel over two years, and in early 2015 created a new channel. He created a parody of Game Theory (2011) which grabbed the attention of the creator, Matthew Patrick (aka MatPat) and was later recruited to join as an editor for his channels.
