The Hellraiser (2022) episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated by Adam Walton, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Seemingly all the major slashers have had their remakes from Freddy Krueger to Leatherface to Jason Voorhees to Harry Warden, even Black Christmas and Prom Night have had remakes. For years, the world of horror had been working on bringing a remake of Hellraiser to the screen, one that fans would love, one that would be more extreme than the original, something even Clive Barker had a go at. Somehow, all the remakes seemed to have false starts by getting announced and then disappearing. Then, the Hulu reboot happened, completely different from the original, yet in the same spirit as the novella.

Exclusive: Music Box Films has picked up U.S. rights to director Richie Adams’ well-reviewed drama The Road Dance, starring Hermione Corfield.
The Road Dance centers on Kirsty MacLeod (Corfield) who dreams of a better life away from the isolation that suffocates her in a small village on an island in the Outer Scottish Hebrides. Suppressing these aspirations, she sees her lover Murdo (Will Fletcher) conscripted for service in the First World War, soon to set off and fight alongside the other young men from the village. A road dance is held in their honor the evening before they depart, but it’s on that night that Kirsty’s life takes a dramatic and tragic turn.
The Scottish adaptation of John McKay’s 2002 novel premiered at the 2021 Edinburgh International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Film, followed by the Jury Prize for Best Feature at the Manchester International Film Festival.

The BBC first announced it was making six-part comedy thriller Black Ops back in June 2021 – and boy is it worth the wait.
Created by Famalam’s BAFTA-winning duo of Gbemisola Ikumelo and Akemnji Ndifornyen, it follows two inexperienced Community Support Officers – Ikumelo plays Dom alongside The Wheel of Time’s Hammed Animashaun as Kay – who get recruited into a perilous undercover Met Police operation infiltrating a London drug gang.
There are so many elements that combine to make Black Ops a joyous must-watch:
1. You’ll Instantly Love The Characters
The sibling-like partnership between Dom and Kay makes us feel immediately at ease in their world. So when the enigmatic Di Clinton Blair covertly approaches them to join his “off the books” undercover operation in episode one, we’re invested in their story from the off.
Dom is smart, quick-thinking but also ultimately immature and quite spoiled – she lives at home...

As a famous character from another long-running cinematic franchise once said, "No one's ever really gone." That axiom goes double for horror franchises, whether you're talking about a fierce survivor or a vicious killer. The return of the latter type of character is such a cliche that the original "Scream" from 1996 made explicit reference to it during its finale. Before Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) could "come back to life for one last scare," as film nerd Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) warned, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) shot him in the head. "Not in my movie," she intoned, signifying once again that "Scream" knew the rules and could either play by them or break them.
After series director Wes Craven passed away in 2015, the "Scream" franchise has been taken over by the filmmakers collectively known as Radio Silence (directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and producer Chad Villella) to much praise and success.

Clive Barker is one of the biggest names in horror. His books, short stories, and films have burned themselves into the horror record books, and even if you don't love all of his work you have to admit he's a singular voice in the genre. The new book "Clive Barker's Dark Worlds," by authors Phil and Sarah Stokes, takes you through Barker's world, providing behind-the-scenes images from his movies, images of his art, and more. Phil and Sarah Stokes are described as Barker's "longtime friends and official archivists," and according to Barker himself, they "have an encyclopedic knowledge of who I am and what I've done [and] understand me better than almost anyone on the planet."
