Chandler Riggs is best known for playing the character Carl Grimes on eight seasons of The Walking Dead, but he has a few horror credits beyond that one – the short Jesus H. Zombie, the Stephen King-inspired Mercy, and the home invasion film Keep Watching. Now Variety reports that Riggs has signed on to star in the horror comedy Hacked, which has secured a SAG Interim agreement so it will be able to go into production during the ongoing Screen Actors Guild strike and is expected to start filming soon in Los Angeles and Tampa.
Shane Brady (Breathing Happy) will be directing the film, which is partially inspired by true events. Brady and producer Emily Zercher were hacked in 2021, and according to Variety “the first ten minutes of the film will be based on their experience. The rest of the film shows ‘what they wish they could have done to that bastard.

Chandler Riggs, the actor who grew up playing Carl Grimes on “The Walking Dead,” is set to return to the genre once more in Hacked. Variety reports today that the upcoming horror-comedy has been granted an interim agreement by SAG-AFTRA and is set to begin production soon.
Hacked follows “the story of a family who loses everything to a prolific and elusive hacker, aptly named ‘The Chameleon.’ Parents Amy (Augie Duke) and Mark (Shane Brady) have $20,000 stolen, and their kids Ralph (Owen Atlas) and Freddy (Collin Thompson) get their entire digital lives hacked — social media, video game items, even their pointless online homework! When the bank, social media platforms, and law enforcement aren’t able to help, the family takes matters into their own hands.”
It’s up to the capable true crime documentary obsessed kids to take down the hacker. Riggs will play the elusive antagonist called “The Chameleon.

Stars: Adam Scott, Evangeline Lilly, Owen Atlas, Sally Field, Clancy Brown, Tyler Labine, Donald Faison, Bridget Everett | Written and Directed by Eli Craig
Other people’s kids can be the worst, huh? Spare a thought for poor Gary (Adam Scott) whose six-year-old stepson may well be the Antichrist. Otherwise happily married to the lovely Samantha (Evangeline Lilly), Gary is prepared to do anything he can to get little Lucas on side… even if that means risking his own life and those around him. Parenting can be, ahem, Hell.
Little Evil is the latest comedy horror from Tucker and Dale vs Evil writer-and-director Eli Craig, a film beloved by no small portion of the horror community. With seven years between this and Craig’s celebrated debut, can he pull it off again? Or is Little Evil as predictable and lame as its trailer suggested?
Thankfully, no! While the comedy is played...

Man, Netflix – you are all over the place this September. A horror parody, an old and a new raunch-friendly animated series, a remorselessly bleak film from Angelina Jolie and, somehow, even more Narcos episodes? (Viewers may remember that last season jettisoned a pretty key character.) Streaming-wise, you'll also get a trio of personal visions from comedy writers and a cavalcade of vintage-ish sitcoms courtesy of Hulu. Here's what's you'll be logging on and checking out over the next month. (For our standard TV recommendations, click here.)

Directed by Eli Craig, the man behind on of the greatest-ever horror comedies (well at least in my opinion): Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Little Evil stars Adam Scott, Evangeline Lilly, Owen Atlas, Bridget Everett, Tyler Labine, Donald Faison, Chris D’Elia, and Kyle Bornheimer.
Meet Gary. He just married Samantha, the woman of his dreams. There’s one problem, his stepson is the antichrist.
Little Evil comes to Netflix on September 1st.

"There is nothing wrong with Lucas!" Netflix has released the official trailer for an indie horror comedy titled Little Evil, the latest from Eli Craig, director of the other great horror comedy Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Remember that one? We covered it closely when it opened back in 2010. Little Evil stars Adam Scott as a man who marries the woman of his dreams, played by Evangeline Lilly. The only problem is that her child is the antichrist. Also starring Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Tyler Labine, Donald Faison, Chris D'Elia, and Owen Atlas as Lucas. This looks good, don't think we've seen many comedies making fun of the evil child horror trope, but I'm up for this. Glad to see something new from Eli Craig, too. Enjoy. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Eli Craig's Little Evil, direct from Netflix's YouTube: Meet Gary (Adam Scott). He just married...

Picture the scene: you’re a stepfather madly in love with the woman of your dreams. Things are going swimmingly, until you discover that her quirky five-year-old son is actually the spawn of Satan.
That is, in a nutshell, the elevator pitch of Little Evil, Netflix’s offbeat new comedy from the mind of Eli Craig (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil). Headed up by Adam Scott (Parks & Recreation) and Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man and the Wasp), the trailer above introduces us to Gary (Scott), an Average Joe who finds himself smack bang in the middle of a Doomsday conspiracy upon realizing that his new stepson, Lucas (Owen Atlas), harbors all of the qualities of the Antichrist.
The film’s horror callbacks help drive that point home, too, as Lucas is placed face-to-face with an old analog TV (see: Poltergeist) along with the shot of him playing on a rickety old swing a la The Omen.

Eli Craig took viewers into the woods for a blood-splattered good time in Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, and he returns to the world of horror comedies for a fun take on The Omen with Little Evil, which is teased in a new trailer ahead of its September 1st Netflix premiere.
"From writer/director Eli Craig (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil); Adam Scott (Big Little Lies, Parks & Rec) and Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man, Lost) star in this offbeat comedy about love, family, and the Antichrist. Gary has just married the love of his life, Samantha, and is now the stepfather to her quirky 5 year old son, Lucas (Owen Atlas). But he soon finds himself in increasingly odd situations around the child, which drives him to believe his new stepson may actually be the spawn of Satan."

Back in 1990, John Ritter had to deal with his “Problem Child,” but we’d argue his character probably wouldn’t trade places with Adam Scott. The “Party Down” and “Parks & Recreation” star will have his own hellraiser to face in the upcoming “Little Evil.”

Netflix can always be relied upon to provide audiences with unexpected gems but, as the streaming service continues to make progress in the production of new material, we not only get to hear about those gems in advance, but we get to anticipate their arrival and consume it immediately upon release. Such is the case with Little Evil – a new comedy coming from writer-director Eli Craig (Tucker & Dale Vs Evil) that is now set to star Evangeline Lilly and Adam Scott.
The premise has great comedic potential, while leaving room for Craig’s trademark scary edge. Gary (Adam Scott) marries Samantha (Evangeline Lilly) and in doing so, gains a six year old stepson (played by Owen Atlas). The honeymoon period is somewhat disrupted, however, because the child is revealed to be the Anti-Christ.

Being a step-dad is a tough gig, but it’s got to be even tougher when the kid you’ve just started parenting happens to be a demon spawn who is destined to lead the armies of Hell in a war against Jesus during the End Times. That’s precisely the situation that Adam Scott will find himself in when he stars in Little Evil, a new horror comedy coming to Netflix. According to Variety, Scott will play a man who marries “the woman of his dreams” (played by Evangeline Lilly) and then has to deal with his suspicions that her son (Owen Atlas) is the Antichrist.
