Janeal Phillips

Janeal Phillips was born in Waco, Texas of two goodly parents. She suffered from a speech disability that would later impact her life. While in Waco she lost her brother, and her dog who were out for a walk when the famous Waco shoot out happened.
This sudden loss in her life, plus her speech impediment forced her to focus on two things: movies and sports. At this point in her life she mainly just watched movies. Sometimes movies about sports. But this later inspired her to start creating short videos and join her high school softball team. She quickly learned she had a knack for catching balls and become one of the best catchers in the state.
During this time she was perfect her film skills and created many shorts films mainly focused around her boyfriend. After they broke up she continued making films about him, which ended once he took out a restraining order. This whole order motivated Janeal to go to college and study Film.
During her time at South Carolina State she continued playing softball and become noticed by scouts for the Scrap Yard Dawgs (Pro Fastpitch League) Janeal played In the National Pro Fastpitch League for the Scrap Yard Dawgs from 2008-2010 when she unfortunately torn her ACL and was forced to retire from professional softball. She then went back to film.
She was the Assistant Producer for a 2017 short film called Post-Apocalyptic Potluck. She's happily married with two kids.
