The Crown star Jonathan Pryce told Times Radio he once apologized to Princess Anne for portraying her father on the show.
In an interview scheduled for Christmas Eve, Pryce told interviewers Kate McCann and Adam Boulton that royal eyes are indeed watching The Crown. The series takes a sometimes unflattering look behind the scenes of the royal family.
“One of our cast met one of the royal family who intimated that they watched it,” Pryce said.
“When I was made a knight and went to Windsor, and it was Princess Anne who dubbed me, and I was in the middle of playing her father, and there’d been intimations that she’d seen some of it. And so she put the sword lightly on the shoulder, and I stood up and I said – thinking she was thinking, you know – I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know what to say to you…...

Jeremy Kyle is to deputize for Piers Morgan on Morgan’s Talk TV show Uncensored over the summer.
Kyle’s Talk Radio show is simulcast on Talk TV during the days and he also hosts opinion show The Talk with Sharon Osbourne, meaning his face will dominate much of the Rupert Murdoch-backed network’s summer coverage.
Kyle will take over from Morgan on flagship Uncensored for a five-week period up to September 5 while Morgan films a new series of his true crime documentary and “takes a well-earned vacation,” according to Talk TV.
Kyle is now a major presence on Talk TV, three years on from a Jeremy Kyle Show contestant committing suicide, leading to the cancellation of that show and an enormous reckoning regarding the British TV industry’s treatment of contestants and duty of care measures.
“I can imagine no finer broadcaster to keep my seat warm. Well,...

A live debate between Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak, two British politicians vying for the open Prime Minister position, was canceled Tuesday after the debate’s presenter fainted on-air.
Truss was in the middle of responding to a question when presenter and TalkTV political editor Kate McCann fainted and loudly crashed to the floor off camera. The incident was caught on TalkTV and happened 30 minutes into the debate, when Truss and Sunak were answering questions from members of the public.
Truss was visibly shaken watching McCann faint. “Oh my god,” she says as McCann faints, then walked off camera to assist her, which can be seen in the Twitter video below.

Update, 11:24 Am: The latest TV clash between UK Pm hopefuls Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss came to an abrupt halt today after presenter Kate McCann fainted on-air.
The recently launched conservative channel Talk TV from Rupert Murdoch announced the end of the debate mere minutes after viewers heard a loud crash off camera.
Kate McCann fainted on air tonight and although she is fine, the medical advice was that we shouldn't continue with the debate. We apologise to our viewers and listeners.
— TalkTV (@TalkTV) July 26, 2022
The incident occurred as current Foreign Secretary Truss was answering a question in the debate — as you can see in video below.
While producers tried to figure out what to do about the second face-off between the ex-cabinet colleagues, former Chancellor Sunak and frontrunner Truss wasted no time in taking their respective pitches in the high stakes showdown to the nearest voters they could find.

U.K. media personality Piers Morgan is returning to primetime TV with a new show entitled “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on Rupert Murdoch’s TV station TalkTV.
Morgan revealed the news on Wednesday via a brief clip shared on Twitter.
In the clip Morgan says: “A year ago today, I was forced to leave a job that I loved, at the peak of its success, for having the audacity to express an honestly held opinion. Well, this shouldn’t happen to any democracy supposedly built on the principles of free speech and freedom of expression. So I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new primetime show whose main purpose will be to cancel the cancel culture, which has infected societies around the world.
“I wanted to be a platform for lively, vigorous debate, the newsmaking interviews, and that increasingly taboo three letter word: Fun. I also...

Gerry McCann checked on the sleeping children at 9:05 p.m., and they were snug in their beds. The Glasgow native returned to dinner with his wife, Kate McCann, and five fellow vacationers, the group from England in the middle of a 10-day holiday at the seaside resort town of Praia da Luz—"beach of light"—in southern Portugal. The various members of the party, enjoying wine and food at the Ocean Club's poolside tapas restaurant, would get up periodically to make the 100-yard walk to look in on their kids back in their respective apartments. It was Kate's turn to go at 9:30 p.m., but Dr. Matthew Oldfield, rising at the same time to check on his...
