Kai Cenat is on a roll. After completing a marathon playthrough of the notoriously difficult video game Elden Ring, Cenat kept his hot streak going when he drew 400,000 viewers for a collab with actor and comedian Kevin Hart.
Hart teased his appearance on Cenat’s stream one month before the broadcast’s go-live date. He promised “big things” for the collab, and he did not disappoint Cenat’s 10.7 million Twitch followers. During a broadcast that lasted nearly four hours, Hart and Cenat presented comedic “gifts” and matched each other’s high-key energy. The affinity between the two entertainers comes as no surprise; Cenat, who has serious Hollywood ambitions, has been described as a Kevin Hart for the internet age.
Hart is not the first celebrity to appear alongside Cenat on his popular Twitch channel, and the streaming star is making sure to provide plenty more entertaining broadcasts for his ever-growing audience.

Like any of the other Soulsborne titles, Elden Ring is notorious for its excruciating difficulty curve. Regardless, FromSoftware’s blend of open-world became the studio’s highest-selling game, which dethroned Dark Souls 3 by quite a margin.
One of the most well-known online personalities, Kai Cenat, announced that he will play through the entire Soulsborne lineup from Miyazaki-san’s studio. His fans are almost entirely sure that the streamer will inevitably struggle in one of the most challenging games in the studio’s portfolio.
Despite Success With Elden Ring, Kai Cenat Fans Think That He Will Struggle With Sekiro Sekiro is considered much more complex than titles like Elden RIng.
Elden Ring is easily one of the most popular games and innovative titles in the Soulsborne subgenre but is also the most accessible. Its open-world offering allows players to avoid bosses and even engage in a tactical retreat using their mount.

When was the last time a joke had you gasping for air, laughter spilling uncontrollably? In an absolutely cheeky banter, Kai Cenat just gifted Kevin Hart a stepping stool on his livestream (via Instagram)—a gesture that’s sparking conversations louder than a thunderclap in a silent valley.
The jest, which we could actually brand as Cenat’s brutal joke with Hart, has the internet buzzing, hitting harder than Dwayne Johnson’s witty one-liners. As someone who has tracked the pulse of comedy streams, we can affirm that the blend of audacity and humor in Cenat’s prank mirrors what we’ve seen in past collaborations among celebrities.

Elden Ring‘s vast and treacherous world offers numerous challenges for players to overcome in return for glorious rewards. Among these is the bizarre Great Jar, a colossal stationary jar guarding a ruined castle in the poison-laced Caelid region.
This jar offers up a challenge where the player has to defeat three knights consecutively without leaving the area of backing out to a Site of Grace. It’s quite tough, but one player has figured out an ingenious loophole to “cheese” the challenge effortlessly.
How The Great Jar Challenge Works, And What It Rewards The Great Jar is a mysterious entity, but offers up a compelling challenge | FromSoftware
Reaching the Great Jar is no easy feat. While initially visible from a distance, attempting to jump down from the cliffside above leads to a swift demise. The key lies in the Siofra River Well, located in Mistwood near the Minor Erdtree.

Every gamer knows how it feels to die over and over against a difficult boss, but only Kai Cenat knows how it feels when more than 220,000 people witness your repeated failures. Cenat drew a massive audience during a 156-hour Twitch marathon that saw him complete an entire playthrough of the infamously hard FromSoftware game Elden Ring.
When Cenat began his week-long test of endurance, he had little experience with Elden Ring or the skill-intensive “soulslike” genre it belongs to. His inexperience soon became clear as he put up one “you died” screen after another. The more he failed, the larger his audience seemed to grow. According to Kotaku, Cenat’s Elden Ring viewership peaked at about 230,000 concurrents.
Cenat had some triumphs during the stream; he won $100,000 from Adin Ross after beating a specific boss on the first try. But for many of the viewers, the highlight of the marathon was...

Popular YouTuber and gamer Kai Cenat took his sweet time to defeat one of Elden Ring’s toughest bosses, but it took more than just gameplay to get through it all. From rage quitting to losing his sanity on camera, Kai went through a lot for this one.
Defeating Malenia took a lot of courage and skill, and Kai is now headed for the final boss in the game. It’s likely that fans are going to see further rage-quitting over this one.
It Took 1610 Deaths for Kai Cenat to Reach This Point From screaming out of rage to shouting out of joy, Kai has come a long way.
Since the beginning, Kai has been (like many players) finding the realm of Elden Ring nothing but brutal and punishing. At present, Kai is at the game’s final boss but with a newfound sense of courage and wisdom that comes from defeating Malenia.

Elden Ring is one of the more approachable games from FromSoftware, but that in no way means it’s easy. The game throws a lot at the player and can often be more disorienting and overwhelming. One very much still needs to ‘git gud’ when taking on the Lands Between.
Kai Cenat has been marathoning the game, and this has led to some amazing moments and memes. Being his first FromSoftware title, he’s going to understandably feel the heat. However, it seems he was more than up to the challenge when a fellow streamer offered an incentive.

A right-leaning video platform is ready to rumble in a court of law. Rumble, the platform that counts Tucker Carlson and Barstool Sports among its users, has filed a suit against Google.
In the suit, Rumble claims that Google has cost it billions by maintaining a monopoly in the digital ad business. According to Axios, Rumble was a Google Ads client before launching its own ad center in 2022. The suit claims that Rumble missed out on “billions” in revenue due to Google’s anti-competitive practices.
“Google exploits significant conflicts of interest that stem from its multiple roles in this electronically traded marketplace,” reads the complaint. “As a result, it is able to pocket a supra-competitive portion of every advertising dollar that passes through the Ad Tech markets it controls, ad-revenue that rightly should have passed through to publishers like Rumble and its content creators.”

Kai Cenat has resolved a legal issue that stemmed from the chaotic giveaway he hosted in New York City’s Union Square last year. After the Twitch star issued a public apology, the Manhattan district attorney’s office said it would not prosecute Cenat on charges of inciting a riot.
In August 2023, Cenat’s fans swarmed Union Square after the streamer announced that he would give away Playstation 5s and $100 gift cards at an event in the park. The “uncontrolled” crowd climbed on cars and buses and caused damage to the surrounding area. By the time the rioters dispersed, 65 people had been arrested and at least four had been hospitalized.

JiDion has returned to Twitch. More than two years after his account on the platform was suspended, the controversial creator (whose real name is Jidon Adams) has had his streaming privileges reinstated.

Adams started streaming in 2018, and he quickly rose up the ranks through a brash brand of prank content. His rise on Twitch included numerous controversies. He was banned from professional tennis and basketball leagues after performing outlandish stunts during games.
Despite those Irl antics, the offense that led to the suspension of the JiDion account occurred online. Early in 2022, the streamer sent his fans to the account of Pokimane, where they carried out a “hate raid.” When Twitch determined that Adams had sicced his followers on his rival streamer, the Amazon-owned platform hit him with a two-week suspension that was eventually extended to a permanent ban.

As part of the NBCU pact, Snap Stars like Livvy Dunne, Harry Jowsey, Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis and Enisa will be in Paris to offer their takes on the Games to Snapchat users.

When it comes to gleaming streams, Kai Cenat is not the first to come to mind. However, being one of the biggest streamers on the internet right now, it makes sense for him to jump on the trend. After all, it keeps the audience entertained with a fun time.
The streamer has recently been going through one of the best titles on PlayStation, Ghost of Tsushima. Sucker Punch’s samurai adventure was beloved by many for its gorgeous world, compelling story, and amazing fights. One of those fights is proving to be extra challenging for the streamer.

On a warm afternoon in March, I meet the members of the band Laundry Day at a studio space in Brooklyn as they rehearse their latest single, “Why Is Everyone a DJ?,” a raucous rock ballad about the epidemic of DJs hitting the nation. It’s the night before they head to Europe to open for Teezo Touchdown on a stretch of his EU tour, and there’s a palpable sense of excitement in the room. Like many of their new fans, Teezo found out about Laundry Day via their...

Widely regarded as one of the GOATs in WWE, Cena’s legacy is unmatched. He has achieved a record 16 World Championship victories, a feat that puts him on par with wrestling legend Ric Flair. With that said, Cena’s wrestling record is why The Rock can never be him.

Kai Cenat, the influencer with the second-most subscribed Twitch streamer, spent the Friday night hosting a Red Dead Redemption 2 live stream. Except for the fact that viewers who tuned in for some time, saw him taking on the independent wrestler, Lord Adrean.
While he did spend some of his time playing the game, his WWE antics quickly became viral as it became a sensation on X. With Kai landing a proper Randy Orton-esque Rko on his opponent, it made for a thrilling watch. Fans later had a field day on X sharing their thoughts on the antics of the two influencers.

Champagne Papi is at it again: On March 5, Drake’s Instagram story made the rounds, this time for the news that he’d be remixing viral crooner 4batz’s “act ii: date @ 8.” The song sounds like the sort of late-night-vibe, hip-hop-adjacent, alternative R&b popularized by acts like 6lack, Brent Faiyaz, and Bryson Tiller at its most minimalist. “Five hunnid for your fuckin’ hair, two hunnid for your fuckin’ nails,” 4batz sings to someone he affectionately (?) calls “bitch” on the song that’s mostly hook. It’s garnered more than 78 million Spotify streams since mid-December,...

The second full week of February was a big moment for streamer-centric award shows. On February 14, Hispanic and Latino creators came together for the Premios Esland, an annual celebration led by Spanish streamer TheGrefg. Three days later, QTCinderella took the stage at The Wiltern in Los Angeles for the third edition of the Streamer Awards, which she has produced and co-hosted each year since 2022.
The latter of those two shows hauled in more traffic on Twitch. According to Streams Charts, the 2024 Streamer Awards hit a peak of more than 645,000 concurrent viewers. Less than half of that audience watched QTCinderella’s broadcast on her personal Twitch account; co-streams from big names like Jynxzi and CaseOh (both of whom were nominated for Streamer of the Year) added thousands of viewers to the total audience.

One of the most talked-about ads from Super Bowl Lviii was Verizon‘s commercial featuring Beyoncé. The pop icon used the moment to announce a new album and drop two new songs, and she also sparked a separate debate: Does she actually stream on Twitch?
In the ad, actor Tony Hale challenges Beyoncé to test the speed of Verizon’s 5G internet. She responds by firing up a Twitch account called IAmSlayoncé, where she streams without any lag or buffering.
As it turns out, the IAmSlayoncé account is totally real. It has zero past broadcasts, so Beyoncé may be waiting for her perfect moment to go live.
Sasha Fierce hasn’t confirmed her gamer credentials, but a different Sasha chimed in on the Verizon ad. Actress Sasha Grey defended Beyoncé’s unusual streaming setup. “Haters will say her fingers aren’t even on Wasd,” Grey wrote. “But it’s ok,...

A week before the start of NBA All-Star Weekend, the rosters for the annual All-Star Celebrity Game have been announced. Nicholas Stewart had an incredible year in 2023. The streamer known as Jynxzi overtook Kai Cenat‘s record by attracting more than 100,000 active Twitch subscribers. He also inked sponsorship deals and signed with management firm Right Click Culture for representation in all areas.
No matter how you slice it, Jynxzi is one of the biggest names in the Twitch world, but that wasn’t always the case. Before Stewart emerged as the most famous Rainbow Six Siege player on the internet, he languished for years in almost total obscurity.
Stewart began streaming consistently in 2019, but his efforts didn’t move the needle for years. Dexerto, citing data from Sully Gnome, noted that the Jynxzi account averaged one viewer per stream in 2019. In the following years, his audience increased somewhat, but he didn’t really take off until 2023. At the start of the year, Stewart’s peak monthly Twitch viewership hovered around 5,000 concurrents.

For the third time in the past 12 months, Twitch is laying off a significant portion of its workforce. The streaming platform is letting go of approximately 500 staffers, according to a Bloomberg report.
The Bloomberg report, which cited “people familiar with the plans,” claimed that the layoffs will affect 35% of Twitch employees. A spokesperson for the Amazon-owned hub declined to comment on the news.
Twitch is looking to looking to rebound from a difficult 2023 filled with executive departures, flubbed policy updates, and increased competition from upstart rival Kick. Twitch has had its ups and downs this year. It got a new CEO, one who’s putting in a lot more face time with creators, and it’s made some long-asked-for improvements, like introducing more discoverability features and relaxing its simulcast rules. But it’s also made baffling policy decisions that upset streamers and drove measurable traffic to burgeoning competitors like Kick.
Despite that, though, it’s closing out the year with its highest watch numbers so far: In November, people watched 57.5 million hours of stream per day, according to data from Rainmaker.gg included in StreamElements‘ latest State of the Stream report. That’s up from 57.2 million in October, and is the highest amount of daily viewership for Twitch all year.
At the same time, monthly hours watched dropped slightly, going from 1.774 billion in October to 1.727 billion in November.

Jynxzi, Twitch‘s most-subscribed-to streamer, has signed with talent management company and creative agency Right Click Culture for representation in all areas.
For those who don’t know him, Jynxzi is a Rainbow Six Siege streamer with 3.3 million followers and more than 106,000 active subscribers on Twitch. He brings in a concurrent viewership of over 30,000 people, with a record peak of 61,000.
These are big numbers for anyone, but they’re particularly noteworthy because Rainbow Six Siege doesn’t even crack the top 25 games streamed on Twitch, and has experienced declining viewership across platforms compared to heavy hitters like Grand Theft Auto, Fortnite, and League of Legends.
At Right Click Culture, Jynxzi will be managed by founder Sam Alavi, who spent a decade in the music industry before opening Right Click in May 2020. Right Click has since worked with creators including MrBeast, Ninja, and SypherPK.

Twitch—fittingly—is gamifying its annual recap.
For this year’s wrap-up, the streaming platform introduced The Twitch Recap Game, a side-scroller where you play as a little dinosaur collecting goat emojis while clips and stats flick by, summarizing your 2023.
There are three types of recaps Twitch users can choose from at the start of each game: Viewer and Creator, which are self-explanatory, and then Community, which all users have access to, and which shows 2023 stats from across the entire Twitch ecosphere.
The Creator recap is for anyone who streamed at least 10 hours this year. It’ll come with a look at growth metrics, including overall watch time, how many followers they gained, and their top content categories.
The Viewer recap, meanwhile will see things like which streamers they watched the most and how many messages and emojis they sent in creators’ chats.

Kel Mitchell is “on the road to recovery” after a “frightening” health scare that reportedly sent him to the hospital.
“Grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time,” Mitchell wrote in an Instagram statement. “The scare was real, but so was the support.”
“With the grace of God and the skill of the medical team, I’m not on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family,” he added. “Your kindness has been a lifeline, and...

Dan Clancy‘s populist approach to tech leadership is going under the microscope. In an interview with Bloomberg, the Twitch CEO shared findings from his Dan in a Van tour, which took him around the U.S. for a series of meetings with prominent streamers.
Clancy took over as Twitch’s CEO in March 2023 after the departure of longtime head Emmett Shear. Shortly after ascending to Shear’s former post, Clancy got some face time with some of Twitch’s top creators. Those meetings, which included streamers like Maya Higa and SpawnOnMe, gave Clancy a chance to show solidarity with aggrieved community members. He took crowd-pleasing positions on topics like advertising as he crisscrossed the country in search of popular support.
According to Bloomberg, the Dan in a Van initiative included meetups with more than 80 streamers across 15 cities in just four weeks. As he rode around in the titular conveyance,...

Kai Cenat is furthering his big-screen dreams with a role in a nostalgic sequel. The streaming star will make an appearance in Good Burger 2, an upcoming film led by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
The original Good Burger film, released in 1997, evolved out of a bit from Nickelodeon’s prime-time sketch show All That. Thompson and Mitchell were two of All That‘s breakout stars, and they created an iconic setting by depicting their adventures at a run-down burger joint. Good Burger‘s (widely-panned) trip to the big screen featured cameos from 90s icons like Sinbad and Shaquille O’Neal.
Though the Good Burger movie drew negative reviews from critics, it endured as a cultural touchstone of the Millennial generation. More than 25 years after its theatrical release, Good Burger is getting a sequel. Good Burger 2 will arrive on the Paramount Plus streaming service on November 22.
