Dove Cameron flew her wings at the 2024 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday in a floral floor-length gown by Diesel.
The event theme was Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion. The “Boyfriend” singer brought her real-life boyfriend, Damiano David, along for the ride.
In 2022, she opened up about her experience prepping for the gala. “This is a funny story that I’ve never told, but they tried to make it to my measurements before it got to New York, but of course they had to alter it,” Dove told Harper’s Bazaar. “The whole dress was being held together by like the finest mesh in the world like we’re talking spider-web thin. All of these pieces are metal-backed; they have fabric on top, which is what makes the arm pieces stand out and what makes everything hold in place, but literally one snag...

Jon Bon Jovi is shining more light on his recovery process since undergoing vocal cord surgery in 2022.
The Bon Jovi frontman attended a screening and Q&a for his upcoming docuseries, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, during which he opened up about whether or not he could still sing following the surgery.
“What you saw on film was shot last March in that scene when I couldn’t sing well, or two years ago when I was on the road,” Bon Jovi said, via People. “I’m well into the recovery. I’m more than capable of singing. It’s just that for me, the bar is two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, before I say we’re going to go and do any shows.”
He continued, “So I’m well back on the road to recovery — not a day of it’s easy.

Dolly Parton isn’t done rocking yet. After sharing her new album Rockstar last week, our November cover star has returned with two new bonus tracks: Her rendition of the Eddie Money’s “Two Tickets to Paradise,” plus a new version of her classic “Jolene” featuring Måneskin.
The Måneskin-assisted version of “Jolene” is available exclusively with the digital download version of Rockstar on Parton’s website, though the country icon did share a preview of the duet on Instagram. It sounds like the new recording stays fairly faithful to the original, with Måneskin’s Damiano David taking on co-lead vocals with Parton.
“Jolene” appears on the deluxe edition of Rockstar, which also features guest features from Sting, Steve Perry, Joan Jett, Mick Fleetwood, Pat Benatar, Brandi Carlile, and many, many more. See a preview clip of Måneskin’s take on “Jolene” below.

Though she’s not known as a musician, Priscilla Presley served as an executive producer on Elvis Presley‘s album If I Can Dream. The record came out in 2015, decades after the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll‘s death in 1977. Priscilla said If I Can Dream reflected Elvis’ unfulfilled desires for his career.

Måneskin had the distinction of being one of the few rock bands to play the 2023 MTV VMAs. The Italian outfit made the most of the moment, delivering a performance of “Honey (Are U Coming?)” that had the whole house on their feet — Taylor Swift included.
Frontman Damiano David began the performance in the crowd, singing into a handheld camera. As he made his way past Swift, she blew him a kiss. David then made his way to the stage and rejoined the rest of Måneskin for an electrifying rendition of the band’s new standalone single.
Måneskin’s “The Loneliest” won up for Best Rock at this year’s VMAs, while they’re were also nominated for Group of the Year. Last year, MTV censored the band’s performance of “Supermodel” after bassist Victoria De Angelis’ top fell off on stage. The track later appeared on the Italian rockers’ 2023 album Rush!

Måneskin have many credits to their name. After winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021, four years after they conquered The X Factor in Italy, the group went on to become the first Italian band to crack the UK Singles Chart. Their pop-rock cover of the Four Seasons oldie “Beggin” has reached more than 1.2 billion streams on Spotify, while “I Wanna Be Your Slave” tops half a billion. Last November, the foursome nabbed their first Grammy nod. But perhaps most impressive in Måneskin’s list of accomplishments is the fact they’re teaching millions how to pronounce the Scandinavian letter, å.

Remember when rock stars were flamboyant, excessive, larger-than-life libertines? Neither do we, but Måneskin want to jog everyone’s recall. Rush!, the third album by these former Eurovision winners and would-be rock saviors from Rome, works hard at living up to the exclamation point in its title. If we’re to believe them, Måneskin’s world is one wicked bacchanalia after another, where weed, beer, cocaine and “hot chicks” are all readily available and lead singer Damiano David is, in his words, “a lion tamer/of indecent behavior/making love with danger.

Italy in 2022 made several landmark strides in the international entertainment arena: an Italian play, Stefano Massini’s “The Lehman Trilogy,” garnered five Tony Awards, a prize the country had never conquered; Roman rock band Måneskin scored a Grammy nomination; and even as domestic box office plunged this year, Italian film exports mushroomed.
Massini’s five-hour play, which follows the three Lehman brothers from their arrival from Germany in New York in 1844 up to the 2008 bankruptcy of their global financial services company, prompted Sam Mendes to stage an English-language adaptation, which ultimately triumphed at the Tonys. Now a high-end TV series based on his play is being developed by producers Domenico Procacci and Lorenzo Mieli with Florian Zeller attached to direct. Procacci, speaking to Variety, praised Massini for managing “to tell so effectively a story that doesn’t have any Italian elements, since most of it takes place in the U.

“It was like it was morning. We were out the night before. She continued, “I started hearing, like, crazy screaming and swear words in Italian, and then he starts banging on my door.

Måneskin bassist Victoria De Angelis suffered a wardrobe malfunction onstage at the August 28 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 22-year-old’s top fell down mid-performance of their hit, “Supermodel,” exposing her breast while she was in the front of the group. MTV immediately took cameras off of the band and instead, chose to show a less-than-interesting view of the room for about thirty seconds.
Fans were not too impressed with the network’s response to the event.
TikTok user @Fayth posted a reaction video and wrote, “Who Was Doing The Camera Work For Maneskin Playing The Vmas? Literally Half The Shots Weren’T Even Of Their Performance And They Were So Washed Out, Wtf.”

There was plenty of action on, around and above the MTV VMA stages at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sunday night: Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance and not only took home the prize for Video of the Year (for “All Too Well”), she also announced her forthcoming new album, “Midnights”; Nicki Minaj took home the Video Vanguard award and delivered a performance that ranged from pink pop to torture-porn; and Latin had a bigger look than ever before, with eye-popping performances from Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Anitta, the latter of whom became the first Brazilian artist to win Best Latin Artist for her song “Envolver.”
Yet there was plenty of action off-camera as well. On the red carpet in the hours before the show, Jack Harlow arrived early, clad in a leather-ish dark grey suit (which would have been suffocatingly hot if the Tri-State area...

Måneskin may have brought a bit too much heat to the 2022 MTV VMAs.
On Sunday night the Italian glam rock band took the stage to perform their international hit “Supermodel”, but were seemingly met with some censorship.

Frontman Damiano David led the performance with a risqué death outfit, completely baring his chest, and donning a leather jockstrap and thong that showed off his buttocks.
More curious, though, was the extended time in the middle of the performance during which cameras cut away to a shot far from the stage, seemingly a recorded loop, which some fans took to be censoring David’s racy look.
vmas will censor 90 of maneskin’s performance but have a 50 ft hologram with their whole ass out on one of their performances and won’t bat an eye. it’s some man ass and a covered tiddy.

Måneskin fans were left disappointed after MTV appeared to censor most of the band’s 2022 Video Music Awards performance.
The Italian glam rock band – Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio – performed at the VMAs for the first time on Sunday 28 August.
The band’s frontman David started off the performance wearing backless chaps for their live rendition of their hit track “Supermodel”.
Soon after that, viewers noticed the network shifted to wide camera shots of the New Jersey venue, rather than close-up shots of the band’s performance.
“I waited all night to watch Måneskin on #VMAs to have MTV show two seconds of the actual performance,” one person complained. “Why was it censored?”
Another person added: “I can’t believe MTV censored Måneskin. Wtf they had people twerking all night, a giant twerking animation, people fake smoking a giant blunt but a man with his ass out is censured?...

Eurovision 2021 winners Maneskin are set to make an appearance on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s highly-anticipated Elvis biopic.
The Italian band revealed the collaboration during their triumphant return to the Eurovision Song Contest grand final in Turin, Italy on Saturday night.
The group, composed of Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio, have had a whirlwind year since taking home the Eurovision trophy last May. As well as appearing on “Saturday Night Live” and at the Coachella festival, they have just released a new single, “Supermodel,” which they worked on with Swedish pop supremo Max Martin.
In addition to performing “Supermodel” on Saturday night, David revealed the glam rockers had collaborated with Luhrmann on a track, “If I Can Dream,” for the biopic, which features Austin Butler as the doomed music icon. “We felt a huge connection and we decided to jump on it,...

The Italian band Måneskin made its name in the U.S. with a crafty cover, of the Four Seasons’ “Beggin,'” and there were more where that came from during the band’s set Sunday night at Coachella: The group went to both ends of the pop/punk scale and memorably covered Britney Spears’ “Womanizer,” followed by Iggy Pop and the Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog.”
Although it may not exactly count as a cover, singer Damiano David also offered a partial recitation of one of the greatest movie speeches of all time — the climactic monologue from Charlie Chaplin’s classic anti-fascist film “The Great Dictator” — as the introduction to a new, original song that was dedicated to Ukraine.
Probably not much of the young crowd immediately recognized the 1940 Chaplin speech, which was shortly followed by David yelling “Fuck Putin!” in the middle of the new song, “We’re Gonna Dance on Gasoline,...

It’s all in the family for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, as former cast member Will Forte returns, joined by musical guests Måneskin.

Everyone's new favorite rock band, Måneskin, performed at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2021, held live in Budapest, Hungary, after the ceremony went virtual last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The band took home the award for best rock after being nominated for that and for best group, and it was seriously well-deserved.

The Eurovision Song Contest brought in 183 million viewers across 36 markets when it returned on May 22, after taking a year off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Viewership data for the world’s biggest live music event was released on Sunday by the contest’s organizers. It showed that the 65th Eurovision Song Contest’s Grand Final broadcast “achieved, on average, a 4 percentage point higher TV audience share than the last Contest in 2019 of 40.5%.”
In retrospect, this year’s Grand Final was most successful with viewers between the ages of 15 and 25. Their viewing share was up by 7%, reaching 52.8% this time around. This stat is, per organizers, “4 times higher than the broadcast channels average (14.5%).”
There were also 50.6 million unique viewers—from 234 different countries—online, who engaged with the Song Contest via their official YouTube channel. Viewership in this area was up 28% in comparison to the 2019 show, with 18 to 34-year-olds making up 71% of live viewers.

The European Broadcasting Union, organizers of the Eurovision song competition, said Sunday it’s looking into allegations that a member of event winners Maneskin was seen doing drugs on video.
“We are aware of the speculation surrounding the video clip of the Italian winners of the Eurovision Song Contest in the Green Room last night,” said the organizers.
The Ebu added that the metal band has “strongly refuted” the allegations of drug use, and that lead singer Damiano David, the prime suspect, will take a voluntary drug test after arriving home. A test was requested from him on Saturday night “but could not be immediately organized by the Ebu,” said organizers.
What would happen in the event of a positive test is unclear.
Social media footage depicts the band drinking and celebrating at their table during the event. Damiano David’s head briefly bent over the table, leading to speculation he was ingesting drugs.
