Welcome to this review of the 2024 King and Queen of the Ring pay-per-view. Technically this was the 12th King of the Ring event, but the First combined King and Queen of the Ring; which took place on Saturday, May 25th, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Match #1: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill def. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill needed everything in their arsenals to walk out as champions during a spirited title bout with Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. LeRae and Hartwell isolated and hobbled Belair, ruthlessly targeting the injury The Est suffered at the hands of The Poison Pixie a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for LeRae and Hartwell, a Storm was coming. Belair tagged in Cargill, and her unbelievable strength and athleticism more than evened the odds.

Despite dominating during their time in Nxt, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have never had a match at WrestleMania, and this seemingly spurned them to leave it all on the line. Brutus and Julius Creed wowed the WWE Universe, especially when Julius lifted from his knees into a standing vertical suplex, showcasing his raw strength. The Creed Brothers continued their punishing attack, sending Ciampa through the announce table area and leaving Pat McAfee speechless. Julius and Brutus caught their opponents with tandem ankle locks, but Ciampa and Gargano countered into a Sicilian Stretch and Gargano Escape. Gargano scored the pinfall after both teams went back-and-forth with pin attempts.

On the Nxt Stand & Deliver Kickoff, Tyler Bate joined forces with Chase U’s Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail to battle Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid and the mysterious Ava of Schism in a turbulent Eight-Person Tag Team Match to decide who would have control of the university. Throughout the furious back-and-forth matchup, Hudson was noticeably bothered by not being utilized enough by his teammates. This finally came to a head when the rest of Chase U was down and Hudson looked as if he had sold out his Chase...

Match #1: Battle Royal – Winner: Axoim The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The coveted fifth and final spot in the North American Championship Fatal 5-Way was decided in a Battle Royal and when the dust settled, Axiom became the last Superstar standing. The field featured some of Nxt’s greatest Superstars, including the likes of Axiom, Dijak, Jinder Mahal, Apollo Crews, and Dabba-Kato. After Crews and Mahal were eliminated, Axiom, Nathan Frazer, and Charlie Dempsey teamed up to eliminate the gargantuan Dabba-Kato, leaving them as the final three competitors. Axiom managed to outsmart Dempsey and eliminate him, leaving the masked Superstar and Frazer as the final two. The two high-flyers proceeded to move about the ring in impressive fashion,...

Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Indi Hartwell The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tiffany Stratton punched her ticket to Nxt Stand & Deliver thanks to another virtuoso performance, this time downing a very game Indi Hartwell in impressive fashion. The match was fierce, but Stratton brought forward an intensity that Hartwell struggled to match, except for a few key elbows. The end came for Hartwell when she tried a top rope maneuver but Stratton countered, managed to hit a rolling fireman’s carry, and then her Prettiest Moonsault Ever to secure her title opportunity.

Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Trick Williams The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Mad Dragon returned to the ring in grand fashion as he took it right to one of the most athletic Superstars in Nxt, Trick Williams. Williams came out incredibly confident landing a few early strikes, but Dragunov responded in kind with his aggressive style. The two Superstars continued to thrash each other with clubbing blows, but a top rope attempt from Dragunov went awry as Williams knocked him to the outside. Jd McDonagh appeared at ringside and joined the commentary team, seemingly trying to intimidate The Mad Dragon, but it was to no avail as Dragunov rallied, set a dazed Williams up in the corner, and nailed Torpedo Moscow to secure the win.

The monstrous pair of Indus Sher is now even more powerful with the Modern Day Maharaja at their side and their matchup with The Creed Brothers proved it. Julius couldn’t get anything going as the immensely powerful Indus Sher threw him around the ring with ease. But the Creeds wouldn’t go away quietly as Brutus mounted a comeback on behalf of his team, but a distraction by Jinder Mahal caused Julius to become distracted and accidentally knock Ivy Nile off the apron. Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Indi Hartwell The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The determined Indi Hartwell tried to teach the pompous Tiffany Stratton a lesson after the latter returned to Nxt just a few weeks ago. Stratton showed little ring rust, keeping Hartwell off balance with her chain wrestling. When Hartwell tried to mount a comeback, Stratton feigned a leg injury only to knock her opponent down with a forearm to the face. Axiom and Carmelo Hayes collided at Nxt Deadline as two of the competitors in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, only for both of them to come up short. Now in a one-on-one contest against each other, both men showed off their supreme athleticism and their savvy technician skills early on. Axiom took the match to another level thanks to an incredible dropkick and a snapping German Suplex as he flew through the ropes. A top rope Hurricanrana seemed to spell doom for Hayes, but interference from Trick Williams allowed Hayes to counter and follow up with Nothing But Net that delivered him the win.

Match #1: Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match – Roxanne Perez def. Cora Jade, Indi Hartwell, Kiana James and Zoey Stark The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Roxanne Perez and Zoey Stark started the first-ever Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match with both wrestlers looking to gain an early advantage in the grueling affair. Perez used her mat skills to attempt a pair of clever pinfalls, but the strength of Stark was on full display, thwarting any early would-be victories. Cora Jade entered and before making her way into the ring, taunted a helpless and hurting Perez in the penalty box.

Von Wagner’s brutality forced Axiom and Chase to work together, but the pair turned on each other to try to get a quick win. As the action in the match heated up, Grimes would decleat Gacy with a pair of kicks that had the match headed to the moon. Match #1: Grayson Waller def. R-Truth The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
R-Truth was a few days off when he burst onto the Nxt scene hoping to be a part of the Halloween Havoc festivities last week, but the surprise appearance resulted in a match with Grayson Waller. R-Truth had the Nxt Performance Center jumping, but an awkward fall onto his knee outside the ring resulted in an injury that forced the match to be stopped. Tag Team Title Tuesday starting off hot with Kayden Carter & Katana Chance looking to defend their championships against Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark. The challengers made the first statement with a simultaneous catch of the titleholders’ splashes and powered them both to the mat with slams. A new era appeared to begin for the Nxt Women’s Tag Team division after Stark countered with a roll up on Chance that delivered a three-count. However, the official would sort out the situation and inform Alicia Taylor that a tag of Carter had been missed initially. Carter & Chance made the most of their second opportunity.

Cora wore a unique shirt featuring a pink background with dark grey shapes and sheer sleeves. The top gave a bit of a view of Cora’s slim midsection as she posed with one hand on her hip and the other fixing her hair.

Well we can’t get back to reviewing WWE’s product without also checking out WWE Nxt 2.0, a show that hasn’t captured my attention as much as its previous incarnation did. Let’s see what this week’s episode has to offer!
Match #1: Josh Briggs def. Von Wagner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The much anticipated “Battle of the Big Men” between Josh Briggs and Von Wagner did not disappoint as they bruised and battered each other all over the ring on Nxt 2.0. Both competitors had their posse in tow with Brooks Jensen, still in a cast, and Fallon Henley in the corner of Briggs and Mr. Stone and Sofia Cromwell in the corner of Wagner. The action was fast and furious in the ring and on the outside. At one point Wagner took Jensen by the cast and slammed the cast straight onto the unforgiving ring apron.

Match #1: Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tony D’Angelo’s right hand men made the boss proud in their Nxt 2.0 debut against Malik Blade & Edris Enofé. Channing Lorenzo & Troy Donovan battered Enofé from the onset until Enofé & Blade fired back with a pair of precision dropkicks to halt Stacks & Two Dimes’ momentum in its tracks. The veteran tag team rolled before taking a second to trade barbs with D’Angelo at ringside, opening the door for a huge uppercut from Lorenzo. The two teams went back-and-forth in a high-speed, hard-hitting collision that...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Samoa Joe returned last week to become William Regal’s enforcer. I had an enforcer once…Timmy The Crippled Cub Scout. Timmy took a bullet for me…after getting smashed with a hammer, hit by a truck, smacked by an elephant, shot out of a cannon and set on fire…by me, after I found out that the little bastard was lying about being crippled just so he could get free money out of me! That little son of a bitch! Anyway, my son is fine now…asleep in his grave. Well, this took a dark turn. I made that all up, by the way…I think I did. Okay. I have to get back to being in prison for murder. Excuse me… Jack-Knife: Hey muthafugga! Y’all gettin’ ovah heeyah so we can shiv this white boy?...
