With a February start date line up, Tim Burton is going with a familiar face to lead the away in his next pic.
Eva Green is in negotiations to star in the Fox pic “Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children” which Burton will direct.
Based on the Ranson Riggs’ novel about a teenager who finds himself transported to an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them. Green would play the title character, who acts as a guardian for these orphans.
Chernin Entertainment is producing the pic.
If the deal closes, the film would be a step closer to giving Burton another supernatural feature to tackle. Green and Burton had previously worked together on “Dark Shadows” and Burton has always enjoyed reteaming with thesps he has worked with in the past.
