Darren Aronofsky, who opted to use CGI animals rather than film live ones in Noah, will receive the Humane Society of the United States's first Humane Filmmaker Award at the organization's Nov. 21 "To the Rescue! New York" benefit. According to a press release, the award was "created to recognize Aronofsky’s leadership and commitment to animal protection and welfare."
