In 1999, Mike Shubbuck began attending American University in Washington, D.C., to pursue a Bachelor degree in broadcast journalism. He later changed his major to Visual Media partly because he wanted to explore longer format nonfiction stories but also narrative projects. The transition was remarkable easily and it provided him with the opportunity to study abroad in Prague, Czech Republic for nearly two years. During this time in Prague, Mike studied at FAMU, a world-renowned film school that has produced numerous Academy Award-winning directors. Some of these directors provided lectures and guidance with a 16mm film, titled "Laska V Tramvaji," on which he acted as director of photography and editor. A week after Mike screened the final cut of the film in Prague, he flew back to the United States and received his B.A. This film was his first step from student to independent filmmaker. While marketing and self-promoting the film at various festivals, he was able to find work at first as a production assistant in Las Vegas, NV. As time passed, Mike moved up to assistant camera operator on some projects, but longed to be as involved in all the areas of production as he had been in Prague.
Mike recently received his Master's degree in Film and Electronic Media from American University in Washington, D.C. Over the years, Mike has created numerous music videos, commercials and short films. In 2008, Mike acted as co-director/producer on "Reviving a Watershed," an environmental short that was commissioned by Maryland Public Television (MPT) for the program "Ecoviews." In addition to airing on MPT, the short screened at several festivals including the Delray Beach Film Festival, where it won the Green Award for Best Environmental Film. In addition to producing films, Mike works closely with the Center for Social Media, an organization that investigates, showcases and sets standards for socially engaged media-making. Some of these standards include the Codes of Best Practices in Fair Use, Sustainable Filmmaking and OpenCourseWare. Mike continues to make media that matters.- Allison Lynn Cooke was born on 21 January 1989 in Groton, Connecticut, USA.

Jaime Neal Christley was born and raised in southeastern Connecticut. The first 18 years of his life were boring and not noteworthy in any way. After six years of service in the US Navy as a strike planning/intelligence analyst, he attended New York University, where he studied film. Following that, he worked at Enterprise Rent-a-Car for four years.
For most of his adult life, Christley wrote about film as a complement to whatever his professional or educational pursuits were at the moment.
In 2011, he co-produced The Unspeakable Act (2011), the third feature film by Brooklyn-based Dan Sallitt.
