Paula Brancati is a Canadian actress born in Markham, Ontario on June 6, 1989. During her high school years, Paula studied Improvisation and Musical Theatre with the CharActors Theatre Troupe. Amrit Kaur is an artistic hyphenate: an actress, director, and writer best known for her role as Bela Malhotra on the 2021 HBO Max series, The Sex Lives of College Girls. Amrit Kaur grew up in a Sikh family in Markham, Ontario. Her parents emigrated from India to Canada before she was born. Kaur began acting as an extracurricular in high school, serving as the senior captain of her school's improv team. She earned her BFA in theater from the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design at York University in Toronto. Kaur continues to train as an actor at the Lonsdale Smith Acting Studios and is an active company member of the school's production company, Gracemoon Arts Company. Kaur was cast as freshman Bela Malhotra on Mindy Kaling's television series, The Sex Lives of College Girls, which premiered on HBO Max in November 2021 and was renewed for a second season the following month. She has acted in various American and Canadian television shows, including Star Trek: Short Treks, American Gothic, Kim's Convenience, Hudson & Rex, Nurses, and The D Cut. Adam Thomas Moryto (born January 28, 1991) is a Canadian actor. His big screen debut is as the role of Jimmy in David A. Armstrong's feature film Pawn. He attended high school at St. Andrew's College in Aurora, Ontario before pursuing a degree in Sociology at the University of Western Ontario. Adam is avidly involved in college theatre and is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Melchior Gabor in Theatre Western's production of Spring Awakening. Adam is also an avid traveler. Justin Peroff was born on 13 October 1977 in Markham, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor and composer, known for The Time Traveler's Wife (2009), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010).- Marner was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the No. 4 pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.
Marner made the NHL All-Rookie team in 2016-17 after finishing with 61 points (19 goals, 42 assists) in 77 games and helping the Maple Leafs qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2013. He was even better in 2017-18 with 69 points (22 goals, 47 assists), again helping Toronto advance to the postseason, then broke out in 2018-19 with NHL career highs of 26 goals, 68 assists, 94 points and a plus-22 rating. Despite an ankle injury early in the 2019-20 season, Marner's 47 points (13 goals, 34 assists) in 38 games earned him a trip to the 2020 NHL All-Star Game and finished the season with 67 points (16 goals, 51 assists) in 59 games.
Marner (6 foot, 175 pounds) is hardly imposing physically, but he compensates for his lack of size with his speed, passing ability, creativity, feistiness and nose for the net. He proved talented enough as a teenager to be offered a hockey scholarship by the University of Michigan, though he turned it down to play for London.
He continued to impress there, finishing second among OHL rookies in scoring in 2013-14 with 59 points (13 goals, 46 assists). In 2015-16 he scored 39 goals and 116 points (his second straight 100-plus point season) to help London win the Memorial Cup.
Marner had 44 points in 18 playoff games and was named the 2016 Canadian Hockey League Player of the Year. He had finished second in the OHL scoring race in 2014-15 with 126 points.
Marner played for Canada at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship, tying for the team lead with six points (four goals).
