Canadian-born actress, writer, producer and animal trainer Nell Shipman was best known for writing and acting in several James Oliver Curwood stories and for her portrayals of strong, adventurous women, with many of her productions being filmed in Canada. Her son, Barry Shipman, became a prolific screenwriter, mostly of westerns.- Stanley Church was born on 12 April 1902 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He was an actor, known for The Great Jewel Robber (1950) and The Orphan (1979). He died on 23 January 1970 in Westminster, California, USA.
- Ferike Vidor was born on 21 June 1889 in Budapest, Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. She was an actress, known for The Little Pastry Shop (1935), Egy pikoló világos (1955) and Mágnás Miska (1949). She was married to Andor Gábor and Jenõ Braun. She died on 23 January 1970 in Budapest, Hungary.
