Walter Landauer was born on 4 September 1910 in Vienna, Austria. He was an actor and composer, known for The Street Singer (1936), Mysterium des Geschlechtes (1933) and The Great Love (1931). He was married to Doreen Duke and Janet Charlotte Shipley. He died on 4 August 1983 in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England, UK.- Almost always used as a character, he has been active in film and television (he took part in several drama series) between the forties and the sixties. He is remembered among other things for being interpreter, alongside Vittorio Gassman, an episode of the 1963 "I mostri" movie. Chase made his name in vaudeville and burlesque in the 1920's, mostly by eating anything and everything such as cardboard, flowers, and even lit matches, cigars and cigarettes.
