- On Rachel's 14th birthday, Trevor calls at number 10 again, and Mandy tells him she is filing for a divorce. The bungling burglars prepare to empty Mick's bungalow.
- Ron decides to take things a stage further with Bev. Karyn and Patricia discuss business and Barry. Trevor comes to see Rachel while Mandy is out.
- Mandy can't ignore a distress call from Trevor, which improves his chances of getting back into the house. Ron is worried, which is exactly what Bev was hoping for.
- The Donnellys take their revenge on "Barry". Patricia and Jean are due to speak out on "Loud And Clear", but there is still time for a last-minute substitution.

- JC wants to sort out some wedding details, but Nat is more intent on stalling. Half of Mike and Lindsey's families are refusing to attend their engagement party, and the other half are still arguing about it.
- Heather realises that she is the victim of a confidence trick, but by chance she has the last laugh. Bobby is annoyed with Barry, and Sheila is worried.
- Barbara catches a thief. Rod is apprehensive about his first day back at work. Ron meets Jacqui's boyfriend, and tells her to be home by 9.30. Leanne admits that she has been lying, but Owen walks out on Sammy.
- The Collins give the Grants a lift to church after Bobby's car breaks down. Roger has still to get to know any of the neighbours, but is caught spying on them, and turning off his car alarm with only a newspaper for modesty.
- Paul registers for benefit, Lucy struggles at the local comprehensive school, realising that her posh voice and background will be a disadvantage. Barry has a dodgy suggestion for Annabelle.
- Roger tries to assemble a shelving unit, despite having not enough screws and no instructions. Bobby plans a strike at work, and there are cookers on the move on the Close.
- The rift in the Dixon household becomes too much for DD to bear, and Ron finds her contemplating suicide at Tony's graveside. Beth finds out that Viv is bisexual. Rosie goes with Mo to the singles night - but who will be chatted up?
- There's an unfortunate case of mistaken identity, as the vicar puts his foot in it at Edna's funeral. When Terry returns from the funeral, he discovers that new arrivals the Corkhills have dumped his belongings outside number 10.
- Doreen changes all the locks. Another visitor arrives at the Collins', but Paul finds the solution in a book of raffle tickets.
- Leo looks forward to his first day at a new primary school. Terry considers whether to invest in another of Barry's ventures. The Dixons - DD, Ron, Jacqui, Mike and Tony - move in to the Close.
