- The 2018 Boston Red Sox dominated their way to a World Series title in a way that Red Sox Nation has never seen. A relentless march through the regular season led to a franchise-record 108 wins. Then they beat the Dodgers for their fourth World Series championship since 2004 after blowing through the rival Yankees and defending champion Astros. Damage Done. Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi ignited Boston in Game 1 at Fenway Park with a quick run before there was an out, and pinch hitter Eduardo Nunez crushed a 3-run home run to set the tone for the series. In Game 2, J.D. Martinez continued the team's brilliant season-long 2-out hitting, and the legend of David Price began as the Red Sox took a commanding two-game lead. The scene shifted to Los Angeles where Jackie Bradley, Jr. hit an 8th inning home run that helped send Game 3 to extras, but Nathan Eovaldi and the Red Sox fell short in 18 epic innings. Boston quickly regrouped for a Game 4 comeback win started by Mitch Moreland's 3-run pinch-hit homer and punctuated by four RBI from Willie Mays World Series MVP Steve Pearce. - The first championship for any franchise always delivers a satisfying celebration. But when it happens during the recovery from a natural disaster - it generously serves as a welcome and exhilarating distraction for its fans and city. The Houston Astros thrilled fans with a riveting and fearless Postseason run through the Red Sox, Yankees, and Dodgers. That's strong. They won 101 games during a challenging, tremendous regular season led by Jose Altuve and bolstered by the late-season acquisition of Justin Verlander. Meanwhile, homegrown heroes Altuve, Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, Dallas Keuchel, Lance McCullers Jr., and Willie Mays World Series MVP George Springer made the team especially exciting. The offense smashed 27 home runs to tie the Major League record for homers hit by one team in a single Postseason, including 15 smashes in the World Series. Under the leadership and direction of Owner and Chairman Jim Crane and General Manager Jeff Luhnow, the Astros staged one of the most successful building efforts ever seen. And Manager A.J. Hinch and Carlos Beltran - of 2004 Astros Postseason fame - combined with veterans Brian McCann, Josh Reddick, and Charlie Morton for exceptional clubhouse chemistry. These Astros personify the resilience and hope of their fans and community, and their World Series title represents the fruits of exemplary strategy, preparation, and execution. It all added up to a strong celebration of the ever-confident, nonstop-believing Astros.

The series also focuses on social issues like racism and gender bias, as well as examining the impact of art and literature on the game. War stories from former players and existing coaches add to a bold stew of inside stories that have never been told before.

Friday - Live show (virtual) "Happy Hour" that is fashioned in a "Tonight Show" style, where we once had Laker broadcaster Chris McGee announce HOF ring announcer Jimmy Lennon to the show who in turn announced world boxing champion Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.
