Mr Hicks seems to be a bit of a head-case at the swimming lesson: he pushes Christopher Stewart (Stewpot) who cuts his head. He talks his way out of it, when Stewpot's parents come to complain, because the boys are scared of him. Mr. Baxter announces that Mr Hicks will be taking P.E. Mr. Hicks now has it in for Stewpot. Miss Lexington senses something is wrong and speaks to Bullet Baxter, who reprimands her for listening to tittle-tattle, however, older kids are putting doubts in his mind, so he surreptitiously goes to watch Mr. Hicks in action. When he sees Hicks pushing Christopher to the ground, he calls him out and punches him on the jaw.
- Laura and her mother hold a dinner party and Fresh and Fly want to enter the Hip-hop competition - but first Gonch has to get them and their equipment to the venue.
- Robbie finally asks Calley out, but will she turn up? Helen, Calley and Georgina are taken to meet the manager of the shop they stole from.
- Trevor's out to get Vince for his failed prediction, and Mauler wants to muscle in on Gonch's Sweepstake. When Mauler and Ted chase Gonch and Ziggy through the estate, there's a tragedy in store when they discover Mr. Bronson's missing car.

- As the barge trip comes to an end, Ant saves Freddy from being gassed, and Ziggy falls out of a tree.

- News of Chrissy's pregnancy is overheard by Alice. Chrissy goes to get some advice from Ms Booth, and Cecile gives Mike a visa application.
- Barry Timpson is chased round school, Ray's girlfriend (really Kenny's) impresses everyone, Techno falls out with Spanner, and Fran and Maria steal Natasha's diary.
- The Polish lady works out that Frank and Graham have taken her locket and they are expelled. Robyn visits the travellers' camp and meets Mary's father.
- Ray records Kenny's engagement party using the camcorder: with an ex-girlfriend on the loose, and the party food contaminated by Worcester Sauce, it is far from uneventful!
- It's time for swimming, and Justin seems to have lost his trousers! Tucker devises an unorthodox racing game in the pool.
- Both Trisha and Benny have good reasons for bunking off school, but Mr. Mitchell is hot on their trail.
- The staff take strike action against Miss Summer's resignation. Cathy goes off with Madelin and behaves badly at a shopping centre. The pair shoplift, and flirt with boys, by dropping sugar lumps on their heads. The thieving gets out of hand when Madelin puts her theft into Cathy's bag, and she is caught by the police. Back at school, the head gives Cathy a second chance.
- On the trip to Beaconsfield, Justin gets coach-sick and Doyle frightens Susi and Penny, who get hopelessly lost.
- A surprise return of Judy Preston but only to announce an end-of-term quiz against Brookdale. The draw picks Hughesy who wishes he'd never volunteered. Doyle locks him in a cupboard, but he escapes in time - will Grange Hill be victorious?
- Tucker, Alan and Hughsey mess around at the shopping centre. Trouble seems to be brewing between Brookdale and Grange Hill. Baxter guards the entrance, and notes pupils arriving with injuries. A series of dares begins, each getting more and more dangerous. Are Trisha and Cathy really exhorting money from the first formers? Tucker makes use of the back entrance, selling its usage to other third formers. The precinct is made out of bounds. Sutcliffe catches Cathy and Trisha in the shopping precinct - but he can't be angry at their reason for being there. Meanwhile at the same time Tucker is pushed into the precinct's fountain as part of a dare. Antoni Karamanopolis takes a daring walk on the car park wall, is this one dare too far?
- Gripper makes Roland's first day a misery. Zammo and Jonah liven up things with some stink bombs.
- Clare's crush on Mr. Hopwood is in danger of getting out of hand.
- Grange Hill are let loose on St Albans, but can they be trusted to explore the city on their own?
- Calley starts reading the bumps on people's heads, Georgina and Helen give each other dares, and Mrs. Reagan's keep fit class has an unseen audience.
- It could be curtains for Grandpapa's pen unless Judy Preston can thwart Jackie Heron, the resident school bully.
- Trisha likes helping Mr Rankin with the school hamster. Judy Preston comes by, and can't resist taking a closer look, and the animal makes a bid for freedom.
- A valuable flintlock goes missing and the finger of suspicion is pointing at Michael Doyle.
- Mr Baxter picks his team for the match against Brookdale. Blazer-turning-inside-out becomes a defiant new fashion. Tucker rebels against the special tables for Free-meals kids, like Benny. Jess from the SAG takes up the case and a riot ensues until the Headmaster arrives. The proposed football match against Brookdale becomes a cricket match. SAG change tactics to protest at the cricket practice, but Baxter stands firm. The SAG picket line prevents cricket practice so Benny ropes in Tucker and Alan. At the last minute, the cricket team outwit SAG who are trying to stop them playing. Could Justin Bennett surprise them all?
- Trisha makes it up with Cathy. People seem to be standing behind SAG which holds a demonstration. The headmaster agrees the uniforms issue will be raised, but at the meeting the vote goes against doing anything. A sit-in is organized, but backfires when they get locked in. The press are called, but the Head wins them round to his side. Trisha and Cathy hide when the siege is over, fearful of the consequences, but Mr Mitchell turns up on their doorstep, and they are suspended for a week.
- The development of SAG (School Action Group) continues. Penny Lewis is voted school council rep. Arguments ensue about a tuck shop and book shop. A jumble sale is proposed to raise the initial cash to buy stock. Pupils go walkabout to collect from the local houses and shops. Tucker's enthusiasm for the jumble sale causes havoc.
- After the fire Tucker and his mates wait for news. The costs of the fire come out of the jumble sale proceeds. Shaw reveals his reading deficiency to Trisha. Trisha becomes Simon's teacher until Mr Sutcliffe finds out too, but she doesn't seem cut out for teaching.
- Justin is given the bumps on his birthday. The third form wants a common room for lunch and breaks. A school trip to some waste ground inspires Penny and Susi to ask if they can go to the proper countryside. Susi has bra troubles. Alan, with Andrew, and witnessed by Susi leaves a fire burning, but a chain of kids put it out using milk churns. Susi throws her bra in the river, but Andrew retrieves it, and there's a mutual agreement between them to keep quiet about what each other has seen.
- It's a case of too many cooks spoil the broth when it comes to catching the bike thieves, but perhaps Tucker will save the day. Tracy sees Mr. Sutcliffe and Miss Mooney holding hands outside a jewellers shop. Sally is visited in hospital by Tracey and Karen.
- Doyle is abusing his position on school council by taking bribes. Mr Hopwood has arranged for a hut to be rented for outdoor activities on a nearby farm, but transport seems to be a problem. The First form has a mime lesson, but it is interrupted by Mr Garfield setting up lunch tables. Pogo is obnoxious in Cookery, so the girls teach him a lesson. Because the lunch is delayed, Pogo gets his first stab at a business venture, selling Duane's cakes to starving students. Pogo and Duane are mugged after the second day's cake sale, but Mr Sutcliffe intervenes. Although the staff aren't happy about Pogo's venture, it prompts them to start the official tuck shop, using Pogo and Duane as helpers - but with a detention and essay thrown in for good measure.
- It's time for the School Revue but will the satirical tone be too strong for Mrs. McClusky?
- Suzanne & Mr. McGuffy get into trouble because of their appearance, and Matthew Cartwright writes an article about bullying.
- On an orienteering course, Mandy and Sarah move a control marker for a laugh, and Mr Baxter and Roland get hopelessly lost.
- Gonch starts up a sandwich selling scheme, Georgina is in trouble with Imelda for seeing Ant Jones and Calley is going to start a fanzine.
- Candidates to edit the Fanzine are voted in, and Danny Kendall tries to persuade Ant Jones that an apology to Mr. Bronson would be a good idea.
- Trevor Cleaver gets his come-uppance when he participates in an exorcism of the Grange Hill Ghost.
- Ziggy rounds up a posse to deal with Mauler, but Mr. Griffiths gets in the way. Ronnie is tempted into shoplifting by the success of Calley, Helen and Georgina, and pays the price.
- Mr. Robson comes under pressure to allow the girls to play football. The contents of Natasha's lost diary are pinned on the notice board.
- Impatient for the school to buy the camcorder, Ray gambles the fifty quid raised so far on Grange Hill winning a five-a-side match against St.Joseph's.
- Mary becomes a pariah when Julie Corrigan learns that she is a traveller. The girls earn the right to run the tuck shop.
- The camcorder is purchased with money from the advert, Mr. Robson agrees to coach the girls in football, Graham steals a locket and Maria engineers a visit to a new nightclub with Richard.
- The girls vs boys football match takes place, and Robyn goes missing on her birthday.
- Video equipment is stolen from the Media Room and the finger of suspicion points to Mick and Barry. The person who has been posting copies of Natasha's diary is discovered.
- Tucker and Benny are in trouble for messing around at a building site.
- It's time to elect a school council member: will it be Tucker Jenkins, Ann Wilson, Michael Doyle, Snoopy or The Six Million Dollar Man? Michael Doyle has his own ways of coercing votes.
- Judy has to go to Brookdale, because her family have fallen on hard times. The thief is found and apology given to Benny, but his dad is not a happy bunny.
- There is increased vigilance at school after police alter them to the presence of a man following girls in the area. Trisha and Cathy are given a parcel to post, and have seemingly forgotten the warning, and separate to go home. Cathy is being stalked, becomes aware of this, and makes a run for it. In the meantime, her sister, worried after not finding her at school, involves Mr. Mitchell, and a chase follows in a police car. But is the stalker all he appears to be?
- Cathy's home life becomes complicated by the return of her dad. SAG has another meeting. Work is recreated for the school play which had been lost in the fire. Bully Jacky Heron reappears on the scene. Cathy falls out with Trisha and aligns herself with Madelin Tanner. Miss Summer is accused of hitting Cathy, when she separates her fighting with Trisha over a fake inkblot, and her job is on the line.
- Still at camp, Mr Sutcliffe announces a puma has escaped, and although the boys have returned, the two girls are still missing. A full-scale search is started. Doyle wants to keep mum, but the others want to tell the authorities when they saw the girls. Finally Justin spills the beans, and the search party is able to concentrate on the right area. In the mean time, the girls have fallen in the swamp, and are struggling with their predicament. During the search, Justin seems to become assertive, and loses his fear of Doyle. Mr Mitchell decides that the incident won't be reported, as they boys have learned their lesson.
- Duane turns up with a black eye, given by his dad as a result of his lost bike. With school maintenance going on, the window putty proves irresistible. The drama class starts. Duane's long-term friendship with Tracey seems to be crumbling under peer pressure. Pogo's putty removal causes some headaches for the school maintenance man. Pogo accidentally spills some red paint over Duane's jacket. Tracey repairs the rift in their friendship by sorting out Duane's paint problem.
- Sutcliffe and Mooney seem to be having a lover's tiff, which pleases Cathy no end. Mr Hopwood is not pleased to find virtually no-one's come to the meeting about the outdoor centre - Doyle is blamed for doing nothing. Penny and Susi are determined to show how useless Doyle is as a council rep. They type a short piece for the school magazine, which is accepted at the last moment. The "Trading Post" makes a start with its hungry customers and sells out. Doyle finds out about the school magazine and confronts Penny, but she is rescued by Alan who has evidently taken a shine to Susi. The staff aren't amused by Penny's comments, worried because Doyle's father is on the council. All magazines are rounded up, and this annoys Andrew Stanton and Justin Bennett.
- After the fiasco with the pop group, Mrs. McClusky comes down on Cathy and her companions like a ton of bricks.
- Grange Hill tries to come to terms with Jeremy's death.
- Banksie, Jean-Paul, Jackie and Sarah take Banksie's brother's stock car for a spin. Will Sarah get the thrilling ride she was hoping for?
- All problems are put aside for the Fun Run. Steven Banks seems to be the only one taking the run seriously, and it's a last chance for Ziggy to get revenge on his nemesis, Imelda.
- A fad of wearing fruit badges starts among the first formers. Ronnie and Fiona go to see Wesley about their Hip-hop act, and the PE services becomes even more chaotic.
- Gonch tries to impress Mandy Freemont to get her help with the homework service - but "Les Diapositives de Bretagne" turns out not to be the musical gig he was expecting.
- At half term, Tucker, Alan and Benny find that Alan's dad's workers are on the fiddle. Duane and Tracy want to enter a competition, so break into school to use the library.
- Suzanne is on the verge of leaving home, and Gripper's demanding an Oath of Allegiance.
- Doyle finds a market for the school's light bulbs, and it's increasingly difficult for Alan to find a place to smoke.
- Ziggy and Robbie start collecting chalk, unaware that they have been scammed by Gonch. Imelda's bullying goes too far and Ant Jones is in trouble yet again with Mr. Bronson.
- Imelda is determined to have a slice of the profits from Gonch's toast making business, and Ziggy makes an ill-advised foray into the girls changing room.
- Fund-raising meetings are held. Imelda gets into a fight with Ronnie. Hollo is surprised to learn that Gonch has been dating Ronnie.
- It's the day of the barge trip. Who is the shadowy figure lurking in the bushes? Is there enough room on the barge to hold Fred's enormous wardrobe, and ego?
- The rap partnership "Fresh and Fly" is born. Matthew's lies about his glamorous lifestyle are becoming increasingly obvious to others.
- Justin is having troubles with his over-protective mother. Mrs. McClusky makes a start at the school, which is having vandalism problems. She puts new rules in place prohibiting pupils from staying inside during breaks. Tuck shop prices go up, and up and up. Trisha and Cathy form a group with some other girls. There's a competition to make a new design for the School Magazine, with a tenner for a prize, and Tucker thinks he's in with a chance. When a deliberate fire is started, and someone injured, a new prefect scheme is started.
- Mrs. Monroe cancels a potentially lucrative advert film shoot, but Ray gets Justine to phone to reinstate it. When the film crew arrive, the footballers auditioning aren't what the producer expected.
- Mr. Robson and Justine collect an American teacher, Martha Jordan, from the airport. Mrs. Keele cuts up her credit card and throws away the pieces, but Anna Wright cunningly reassembles them.
- The new headmaster introduces new timetables, and forms, resulting in chaos. 50p goes missing, but by coincidence Benny has found the same amount. Will anyone believe his story?
- Justin makes friends with Andrew Stanton, finding a liaison in their music. Sleepy-head Antoni Karamanopolis seems to have a problem at home, and Miss Summers investigates. Meanwhile the staff take strike action against the Headmaster's new complicated timetables.
- Mr Mitchell finds the form has terrible grammar. Trisha seems attracted to Cathy's brother. Trisha rings for Simon in the morning, under instructions, in order to get him to school on time. With Gary Hargreaves vying for Trisha's affections, jealousy is in the air.
- Tucker & co are late on the first day when the bus doesn't turn up. Mr Sutcliffe helps lay signs around the school for the new first formers. Benny turns up with football in one hand, and little brother in the other. Andrew Stanton is accompanied by his sister, Karen: he is overprotective, but she would rather be independent. Sudhanami Patel turns up with uniform, but her classmates are now casually dressed. Penny's know-all hauteur gets up the nose of Trisha. Tucker and Alan seem to be as lost as the first years. Mr Sutcliffe falls out with the caretaker over the arrows supposed to help new pupils. In the new Miss Peterson's class, Cathy's jeans don't meet with approval. Tucker's mates tell him he must finish his holiday assignment, even though it is not needed till Friday. Duane's bike goes missing.
- Andrew's parents seem to be having marital strife again. Andrew gets paint over his trousers. A tug of war between staff and pupils is planned. The meeting to discuss the outdoor centre has a lot more people this time. Penny realises she can use Susi to promote her anti-Doyle campaign. Fundraising is started for the outdoor centre, including a sponsored walk. Alan takes Tucker's two 50 pence pieces, and a small battle begins which ends up with Tucker lobbing a water bomb at Baxter accidentally. Benny tries for the District Team, and shows off his stuff in the trials, but is handicapped by not being a Brookdale boy. Mr Wainwright is thwarted when the teams reorganise themselves to show off Benny and the other boys in a more prominent position. Benny is chosen, but gives him a dilemma that his first match conflicts with one against Rodney Bennett.
- A new girl Fatima starts, and a little racism is apparent in the staff's assumption that Sudhanami speaks her tongue. Fatima has difficulties fitting into the school, but is taught useful phrases by Cathy and Trisha, including "Shut yer Mouf". The school fair looms and Tucker has plans to get a teacher wet. An accident in Chemistry makes Trisha re-evaluate her stand against school uniform. Sudhanami's dad is upset at her Western friends, and decides he would like her moved to an all-girl's school. Can Trisha and Cathy persuade him that Sudhanami is not being corrupted?
- Unpopular, and bullied by Gripper, Roland Browning has no intention of staying at school.
- Lunch breaks are being reduced, Stewpot's asked out Clare, and Gripper's racist attacks on Randir are intensifying.
- Racial motivated fighting reaches a critical point, and the unofficial school magazine comes off the press.
- Duane is infatuated with Miss Lexington, and Danny's ill-conceived lottery falls foul of Gripper's dirty tricks.
- Cathy's group has a paying gig, and Doyle takes up Judo.
- So who are better, boys or girls? An end of term contest takes place to find the answer.
- The school merger puts Grange Hill in a state of confusion on the first day of term. Just what sort of pet has Calley brought to school in a cardboard box?
- Suzanne makes a final appearance to discuss college courses with Mr. McGuffy. Miss Gordon gets her wish for a life model in the art club, but suddenly there are a host of new members eager to join up.
- Ant Jones is still missing. Danny Kendall's logo design looks set to be immortalized in the new school badge, and Banksie becomes very competitive with Mr. Kennedy.
- Robbie saves Calley from Mauler's amorous advances, but pays for his intervention. Mr. Robson's crash helmet goes missing, and there's a smile on Tegs' face when Mauler gets accused of taking it.
- Justine spends the weekend at Luke's impressive house in the country and tries to shake off the memories of Liam. Back home, Ruth has vamoosed and Kenny is heartbroken.
- A new school council rep is elected. The students still are thinking about the countryside, and want a regular trip. Cathy flirts with the decorator. Trish is pushed into becoming a school rep. Tucker starts a fire in Chemistry. Tempers flare between Trisha, Cathy, and Penny. Doyle and Trisha, and Mark and Penny are proposed from the each class. Doyle's proposed policies are all stolen from other candidates. Trisha and Penny fight until Miss Peterson intervenes. Doyle wins but both Trisha and Penny are beaten by an outsider.
- Duane's bike seems to have resurfaced as owned by another pupil. Madelin Tanner is seen behaving suspiciously. The first formers are told their project is to collect insects. A meeting is held about the school magazine: censorship rears its ugly head. Another bike goes missing. Pogo holds an insect race, but the contestants escape. Sally Forsyth takes a tumble during Miss Peterson's obstacle course, and rumours spread that she has died. More bikes go missing.
- The first trip to the outdoor centre in the newly acquired van. The third formers set up camp, and Alan takes off Susi for some judo practice. Tucker strikes up a deal with Justin. The boys set up the girls tent on an ants nest. Cathy ignores advice to go upstairs in the derelict building, and trips up over a rotting floorboard. She is carted off to hospital, but the damaged building raises doubts that the outdoor centre may be too derelict. Jill Harcourt's handwriting is arousing suspicion in Mr Sutcliffe. Alan takes his dad on an unofficial visit to assess the outdoor centre, but Mr Hopwood catches them there. Alan's dad is more optimistic than the school council, and promises a low estimate. Susi's Judo floors Jill Harcourt, and Alan is rewarded with a kiss for his efforts, to the glee of Tucker.
- The Tuck Shop prices rise again. Trisha is torn between fighting against the school lockout and being part of Cathy's band; Mr Sutcliffe persuades the girls that she'll have to go. Tucker catches a 1st former writing graffiti, but gets accused himself by the caretaker.
- While talking about the bad behaviour of Doyle, Trisha learns that the school has a file on her. Tucker seems confident about his art winning the Magazine Cover Competition, but Doyle seems determined to scupper him. Trisha and Susi have another meeting about their rights and problems- a poll is being held asking everyone about their opinions. Trisha goes to see Mrs. McClusky about being treated like kids, and asks to see her file. Alan finds Susi is at his house, and she ropes him into working out a plan of action.
- Alan persuades Susi to learn Judo, his dad is persuaded to sell his old minibus to Mr. Hopwood, and Tracy, Duane and Michael face Mr. Keating's interrogation.
- Penny's magazine contribution is being done through Susi. Tucker has ideas on using the school's video recorder. Cathy's having problems with her periods. Tucker's chair-knocking game falls foul of the cleaners. The Outdoor centre is vetoed in the council meeting, which seems to please Doyle. The option of sharing an outdoor centre with Brookdale is proposed by Tucker. Miss Peterson gives Doyle some grief about his poor council rep performance. In return he steals Penny's project and bins it. Mr Hopwood comes to the rescue and Doyle is made to retrieve the lost project from the rubbish, and loses his council rep position as a result. Brookdale agrees to a joint venture for the outdoor centre.
- Pogo overhears a girl talk about "time of the month", and tries the same excuse! A medical is in the offing for the 2nd Year - everyone speculates about how intrusive it will be. Alan worries about whether his smoking vice will be spotted, Clare is worried too, because she's not started her periods, and Selena is worried because her country's customs disapprove of undressing in company.
- Why has Annette brought two eggs to cookery? Benny Green has inspired Zammo to take the Athletic Trials. Fay is pleased to be selected for the hockey team against Brookdale. Mr. McDuffy is holding auditions for the "school review". Annette's launching of an egg aimed at Roland isn't helping his self-esteem, but he is at least trying to join in. Gripper's back to demanding money from Roly, but Benny intervenes. Roly's entry in the shot putt is a disaster. Fay is praised for their team winning the hockey practice, but Belinda has a clash of interest between hockey and her music. Roland can't believe it - he is on the list for the school review!
- Jonah's suggestion for flexitime gets support from an unexpected source.
- Trisha gets involved with the school council when a rumour starts that school uniform might be brought back.
- The mystery of Mr. Bronson's plaster is solved. Both Georgina and Ronnie have Ant Jones in their sights, but so does Mr. Bronson for quite a different reason!
- Robbie takes Ziggy on a quick trip to London, while Laura and Julia plan an all-night party.
- After the staff versus pupils cricket match, Zammo and Jackie make a surprise announcement.
- Fiona shows Ronnie the Fun House - a hip-hop club and demonstrates her own rap. Gonch starts a P.E. kit service, and Justine rescues Tegs.
- Togger and Andy get a lift to their new school from Uncle Peter, Jeremy is an immediate target for bully Mooey Humphries and Tanya's lip ring doesn't go unnoticed by Miss Dyson.
- Susi worries about her academic abilities, and struggles with Maths. Tucker finds a geography exam paper - surely it must be the one to be used in the upcoming exams? Susi fakes sickness to get off school, but then goes down with a fever for real on the day of the exams. The head announces that uniforms will become optional.
- Roland avoids "GCE" (Gripper's Cash Enterprise) by accompanying Miss Mooney through the school gates. Gripper nabs Zammo and Jonah's cash, but they have no intention to continue paying him indefinitely. Roly cuts himself in woodwork - did he do it on purpose so he could go home? Annette wants revenge against Zammo and Jonah for their stink bomb damaging her shoes, and buys her own stink bomb. Jonah and Zammo goes to see Mr. Hopwood to try to get something done about Gripper, but without confrontation. Mr. Hopwood accuses Gripper, who denies it, but is forced to empty his pockets and donate the sizable amount of money to the school fund. Roly's mum finds Roly at home, and angrily brings him back to school to talk to Mrs. McClusky. Annette lies in wait for Zammo with her stink bomb, she throws it, but her aim is off and she gets Gripper instead.
- A sticker frenzy sweeps through Grange Hill.
- It's the start of a new year: Pogo is selling pens while Gripper is extracting money from the 1st years.
- Gripper has a new target, new boy Randir, and Suzanne's becoming increasingly rebellious.
- Who is the mysterious "Mr. S" that Annette has been seeing? Fay, Julie and Diane are determined to find out.
- The French kids go home, Mr. Bronson's got a new wig, and the thieves are finally found.
- Danny Kendall breaks a pipe exposing fibreglass, and Imelda takes some. Zammo tries to cheat in the moustache-weighing competition - why does he need the money so badly?
- Mrs. Reagan asks her daughter and Julia to investigate Louise Webb. Zammo's becoming increasingly desperate for money, and Ziggy's aerial bombardment misses its target.
- Zammo's mother learns of her son's heroin addiction when a number of items are stolen. Roland does well in his French Oral exam, and the truth emerges about Miss Partridge.
- Gonch takes Harriet out for donkey rides in the park, and Cleaver wrecks the secret den.
- The 6th form get their exam results, Trevor has a meeting with the "Grange Hill Ghost" and Ant Jones can't please either his own St Joe's team or his old Grange Hill friends.
- Julia starts spying for her father, and the school handbook continues to be misinterpreted as a protest.
- Helen and Georgina bid Harriet farewell, Zammo and Jackie go shopping for wedding outfits, and Fay has an unexpected encounter at the craft fair.
- Belinda is leaving, and Roly is in hospital, so two collections are needed for presents.
- A protest to "Bring Back Scruffy" takes place - but can they gain entry to the school?
- The proposal of new costly sports gear causes an uproar.
- Zammo's conflict with Brookdale's Gluxo intensifies, and Annette plans to enter a glamour competition.

- A suggestion by Hollo saves the musical after the destruction of the sets and Mr. Bronson is determined to get to the bottom of the business of his lost toupee.
- Laura and Julia attend Cheryl Webb's party, and Julia has too much to drink. Jackie gives Zammo her £25 savings when she finds he's sold his moped.
- Louise and Cheryl Webb seem destined to go into care. Jane plans a revenge on Ziggy for throwing her clothes in the swimming pool.
- The speaking wall seems doomed when spiteful messages about Zammo appear on it. Ziggy and Robbie try to ambush Imelda by using Georgina as bait.
- Banksie changes his mind about his work experience after meeting Lucy and Perry. Harriet the donkey falls sick.
- Gonch's PE Service looks set to involve Calley and Ronnie, as long as they can be persuaded to do the washing.
- Danny's back in trouble for arriving late at lessons; Calley takes on the burden of washing sports gear; and Vince's fancying of Helen leads him into the clutches of Mauler's gang.
- A fashion show and baseball match bring the school year to a close. Ray's jacket becomes Ms. Janowitz's leaving present, and the Cigarette Gang get expelled.
- When an asteroid is forecast hitting the Earth at 3.20pm, it is blamed for a series of malfunctions. Fran and Maria attempt to love match Natasha with Mr. Brisley.
- Natalie finds Fran's photo (planted to convince Richard that Natasha had a boyfriend) and gives it to Natasha who pretends to know him. Then that boy, Fran's cousin, turns up...
- Pogo has an argument with Karen, in Woodwork, and he breaks her toast rack. Karen hires some help, who ambush him and remove his trousers. Tucker, Benny and Alan shortcut Mr Baxter's runaround the block by using a bus. Mr Baxter reconciles with Benny and cancels his detention. Enough money has been raised for the outdoor centre, but who will win the tug of war?

- At the Christmas Fair, a surprise awaits Gonch and Hollo in the furniture store, Calley is torn between her foster mother and real mother, and Roland dreams of spending Christmas in Paris.
- Vince and Hollo propose that the bottle day money is put towards helping Danny Kendall, and Radio Grange Hill gets a test run.
- Mr. Hopwood catches Suzanne bunking off, and Mr. McGuffy is impressed by the natural humour of Stewpot and Duane.

- Tempers fray as the portacabins fail to arrive. Spending just a few minutes with Georgina causes Ant Jones to get into trouble with both Mr. Bronson and Mr. Baxter.
- Operation Harriet seems to be successful, but the arrival of the donkey has not gone unnoticed. Radio Grange Hill gains support from the staff.
- Can Ziggy conquer his fear of heights to erect the banner? Jackie comes to school with an engagement ring.
- Gonch convinces Trevor that the school is haunted. A teacher-student meeting ends abruptly when all of the students' ideas are summarily rejected.
- A lesson on human biology is announced, with a letter to be taken home for permission to be sought. Can H3 be sensible about the subject? What will Anita Unsworth's Gran say? Matthew Cartwright would rather not do the lesson, and takes some stick from older sister Pamela. Pogo tries to make a few bob out of the biology textbook's "disgusting pictures". Claire's mother speaks to Mrs. McClusky concerned that her daughter is too innocent for the forthcoming biology lesson. How did Matthew Cartwright lose his trousers? It's all chaotic until Mrs McClusky asks the form on their opinion, and the conclusion is they do want sex education. Pogo and Gripper are interrogated by McClusky about their bad behaviour.
- School cuts are being noticed, what with the lack of a Technical Drawing teacher, and book shortages. The Computer Club wants to buy a new computer for £1200, and the PTA tries to come up with some fund-raising ideas. A "Sponsored Spell" is on the cards. Can Gripper spell any other word than "G.B.H"? Gripper sees the text book shortages as a way of earning money, getting his supplies from St. Mary's girls. He ropes in Pogo as an unwilling accomplice to sell them. Unfortunately, Gripper's muggings have not gone unreported, and a spot inspection by Mr. Keating brings the sorry business to an end. The money raised towards buying a computer gets used instead for buying new text books.
- At the UN Conference, Glenroy's rant ruins the school's participation; Claire and Stewpot are both stood up; and public school bigot John Eastlake gets his just desserts.
- Imelda comes to school with some hair dye and a "hit list". The newly acquired 6th form building leaves something to be desired.
- Ziggy and Robbie cause chaos while fetching a reel of cable, and Danny Kendall's father visits the school. Imelda lets Harriet loose, and she damages two cars.
- Interviews are recorded for the radio. Mrs. Reagan isn't pleased to see her daughter riding pillion on Banksie's motorbike.
- Annette is accused of bullying Roly, but Roly is accused of picking on Diane - can Mrs. McClusky sort it out?
