At start of film, the population of Klopstokia is said to be about 81,000 citizens (including certain animals) - but later, Angela states a fact about the total length (height) of all the country's athletes that would require over 400,000 athletes to be living in the country.
When the President first enters the council room, he pauses at the door and the long shot of the table shows his chair is only a few inches from the table, but when he walks to the table a second later, the chair is a couple of feet from the table although there was nobody near enough to it to have moved it in the time shown.
The film depicts a mile-long race at the 1932 Olympics. In 1932, as today, all Olympic track events were run over metric distances, including the so-called "metric mile" of 1,500 meters.
Supposedly all Klopstokian males are named George, but the female lead's younger brother (Dickie Moore) is named Willie.
