No, although certain scenes in
Saturday's Children (1940) (1940) seem to have been lifted from "Week-End Marriage" (1932). Scenes involving the female lead being coached to trick her boyfriend into marrying her instead of pursuing work abroad are copied nearly verbatim.
But despite these and other story similarities, "Saturday's Children" is ostensibly an adaptation of an already twice-filmed play by Maxwell Anderson, while "Week-End Marriage" comes from a story by Faith Baldwin. The two films share no writing credits, although both pictures came out of the Warner Bros./First National studio.
