- Title Card: A year ago, Joan Lowell returned from a trip to the the vastnesses of Central America, with a tale of well-nigh incredible adventures. So lurid and exciting was the story of her exploits that she was persuaded to duplicate them - only this time with a motion picture camera.
- Joan Lowell: There's a lot of work on a boat. And if a Captain's a Skipper like Pop, he doesn't ease up on you because you're a girl.

- Joan Lowell: Those clouds I could see through the hatchway looked like man-size trouble, to be exact, a Caribbean hurricane. The worst storm the Atlantic knows. - Joan Lowell: Then, Manola spoke. He begged the Princess not to trust us. We were white. We were evil. We meant no good.
- Joan Lowell: I was startled when I saw Maya. I had lied to her. I desecrated the god of her ancestors. I didn't want to fight with her. I knew I was wrong. That's why I ran.
