Famous aviator, Amelia Earhart, after hearing that the serial was being shot on location, in San Fernando Valley, she then drove out to the spot and watched the filming of the chapter two cliffhanger. This event showing Earhart during filming was shown in theaters on a Newsreel. This gave the Ace Drummond movie some needed publicity.
The scene of the fire-breathing dragon shown at the end of each chapter, is used again in Red Barry (1938). It was suggested to use the dragon scene for the Flash Gordon (1936) serial, but was not used.
During the beginning credits for director Ford Beebe, a squadron of Vickers Virginia biplanes are shown. Today there are no existing Vickers Virginia's. Not in any museum or with any private collectors/owners.
