Sam Raimi, a horror director noted for his fondness for The Three Stooges, said the lightbulb filling up with water was the inspiration for the scene in The Evil Dead (1981) in which the light bulb filled up with blood.
According to Moe Howard's 1977 autobiography, Moe had noticed director Del Lord playing with a strand of his hair when he was crouched below the camera lens. The shadow of the hair clump was filmed along with the short and at the cost of several thousand dollars, some sequences had to be re-shot.
