When Absalon is returning to his house through the field, a strong wind can be heard and the grass between the two fences is seen moving. However, the grass beyond the farthest fence, only a few feet away, is perfectly still.
Just before Martin kisses Anne for the first time, she is standing with her back to the window as Martin approaches her. In the next shot, she is standing facing the window when Martin touches her shoulder.
The film is set in 1623. But at the back of the main room, where much of the action takes place, is a large wooden chest with a Latin inscription: "Quodque parum novit nemo docere potest - Anno 1639."
When Absalon converses with Laurentius on his death bed, a microphone is visible at the top of the frame.
