Which Marvel hero has appeared in more movies than any of the Avengers or the X-Men? That’s right, it’s the one and only Stan Lee, who’s been a fixture of every Marvel production for the past two decades. Be it made by Disney, Fox or Sony, Lee is always welcome to turn up for a cameo in the latest film based on the comics franchise that he helped build, and each and every time he appears it’s a real treat.
But, with more Marvel efforts (ergo: more Lee cameos) coming out all the time, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of all his many appearances. Thankfully, then, this new supercut has got us covered. Reaching all the way back to Lee’s inaugural cameo in 1989’s TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk and all the way up to his turn in Spider-Man: Homecoming,...

With The Last Jedi already doing gangbusters across the globe ($777 million), is there a bigger movie on the current Hollywood calendar than Avengers: Infinity War?
Dubbed Marvel’s “deadliest showdown,” the pic heralds a titanic battle between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Thanos, the unruly Mad Titan who’s been lurking in the shadows ever since the post-credits scene of The Avengers. Six years later, and Josh Brolin’s über-villain is finally ready to leave that levitating space throne and take matters into his own giant, oversized hands.
There’s an apocalyptic invasion on the cards, then, and the Russo Brothers will be calling upon every single hero in the Marvel pantheon – yes, even Hawkeye – to fend off Thanos and his Black Order.
Now, thanks to Instagram user superhero_world1996, we have a gorgeous new poster to whet our appetite with that shows off Spider-Man’s upgraded armor in all its glory.

A TV creator, TV critic, and TV editor walk into a podcast — one survives.
This would be a very bad joke if it was, in fact, a joke, and not a real-life scenario that happened just recently. On a special holiday edition of Very Good TV Podcast, “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail spoke with IndieWire TV Critic Ben Travers and TV Editor Liz Shannon Miller with the intent of winning a war. Only one could exit in triumph, and the stakes were high: picking the best TV show of 2017.
Working in Esmail’s favor was a lack of bias: He’s not here to explain why the third season of “Mr. Robot” was the best show on television this year — even though it is very, very good. He’s backing another horse.
Before we reveal Esmail’s pick, here are the contenders:
“Twin Peaks”
Designated Enforcer: Sam Esmail

Revenge picked up in "Homecoming" right where they left off in the winter finale: Emily has disappeared after being shot on the night of her wedding, by her husband Daniel.
Aiden (Barry Sloane) and Jack (Nick Wechsler) rush to try to find Emily (Emily VanCamp) after discovering her wedding dress washed up on the shore. Aiden focuses on trying to track Emily using the garter tracker she was wearing, while Jack feels increasingly guilty about forcing Emily to move up her revenge time table, which could have led to bad planning and Emily’s current injury. Aiden sends Jack to update Nolan and continues to search for Emily on his own.
Aiden Rescues Emily
Emily, injured, but alive, tried to get to a buoy where she had stashed a box away in case of emergencies, but she is too weak to grab it and ends up being picked up by a fisherman’s boat.

In this week’s Revenge, we learn that Emily’s shooting has left her with amnesia. (What, should that have been preceded by “spoiler alert”? C’mon. You never thought for a minute that there was even the remotest possibility that she was gonna die, and neither did anyone else. That said… ) In case your memory has been similarly erased by eggnog and/or champagne consumption over the holiday break, let me bring you up to speed on a bit of what happened before – and all that happens in – “Homecoming”…

127 Hours (20th Century Fox) Harrowing true story of Aron Ralston (James Franco, in another fine turn), an extreme outdoorsman who finds himself trapped in a remote Utah canyon, his arm pinned between two boulders, with no help nearby, no communication to the outside world, and dim prospects for survival, to say the least. Director Danny Boyle manages to prove again that he’s one of the finest filmmakers working today by making a subject that is seemingly uncinematic a true example of pure cinema. Inventive, breathtaking, funny, and horrifying, often all at once. Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara make a memorable, brief appearance as hikers who connect with Ralston during his journey. Also available on Blu-ray disc. Bonuses: Commentary by Boyle, producer Christian Colson, co-writer Simon Beaufoy; Deleted scenes; Featurettes. Widescreen. Dolby and DTS-hd 5.1 surround.

Let’s face it. Clark’s proposal to Lois on the CW’s Smallville will go down in the television history books as one of the most romantic marriage proposals ever. Erica Durance, who plays Lois Lane, talked about how she felt about that moment in Lois and Clark’s relationship and how it will evolve to the future we caught glimpses of in the episode “Homecoming” in these interview excerpts below.
Q: Let’s talk about that proposal in the most recent episode, “Icarus.” Did you see that coming?
Erica Durance: No! Honestly, I was really surprised, when I read the script. I thought, ‘Oh, that’s happening fast!’ It was great on so many levels, though. It was fun for me as my character, that’s she’s now found that sort of love and trust that she’s really been looking for. And as an actress it was fun,...

By the end of the Television Critics Association Winter Press tour, a two-week parade of television stars and execs, it's possible for even the biggest TV fangirl to get a little bit burnt out on the endless interviews and panel discussions.
If there's a cure for the press tour ennui, it's Erica Durance. The "Smallville" star has raised the bar for Lois Lane -- a character played by dozens of legendary actresses -- and it would be easy to be intimidated by her, especially as the series winds to a close and she secures her place as a television icon.
Still, when we meet Durance in the hotel bar after the CW Cocktail Party winds to a close, intimidation isn't what comes to mind. She's kicked backed comfortably, and despite having spent the day with a veritable who's-who of Hollywood, her Canadian-girl roots are undeniable as she orders fries with...
