I watched Ghost (I do not recall the Super part of the name)in those early years while living in New York City. I recall Bergen Evans calling himself Dr. Bergen Evans. Each player was sitting behind an easel which contained a large paper drawing pad for writing the letters on. As you noted, the game was based on a regular game called Horse or Donkey where the loser of the game got a letter (H , O next, etc.) I do not recall celebrity appearances as a requirement for the game. The program broadcast in Black and White over one of the then syndicated channels; ABC, CBS, or NBC. I was also of the age to appear on both the Howdy Dowdy Show as part of the Peanut Gallery and also the Merry Mailman Show dressed in my Cub Scout Uniform reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America while I was superimposed on an American Flag flying in the background.
