The black "remote controlled" airplane shown is a 1947 or 1948 Stinson 108-1, registration N8229K. It was damaged in an accident in 1979 and its registration expired in 1984.
According to an article in the 20 June 1953 edition of Billboard, the "Atomic Jet" coin-op kiddie ride seen at the beginning of the film was made by Nasco of Philadelphia and was to be part of a national promotion where theaters showing this picture would be provided with a ride by one of its 28 regional distributors. This ride was only advertised for about two years, and five years later, refurbished units were advertised for only $250. In 2023 these rides are extremely rare.
Last of four "Bowery Boys" films where the gang joins a branch of the U.S. military. The other three are Bowery Battalion (1951), Let's Go Navy! (1951), and Here Come the Marines (1952).
