I have seen my share of season finales over the years. They all had awesome, cliff-hanger worthy action. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, makes you hold your breath and leaves you wanting more. On tonight’s season two finale of Lucifer, it certainly does not disappoint. We know that from the previous episode that Mama Morningstar is responsible for Chet turning into a human barbecue head. It turns out her human host is unable to contain her divinity. No wonder the goddess is in such a rush to return to Heaven. Will Amenadiel surrender the final piece of

Say what you want about Gotham and its radical reinterpretation of the Batman mythos, but it’s been on a hell of a roll this season. Although it came down to the wire, this writer, for one, thanks his lucky stars that the DC Comics adaptation has been renewed for a fourth season, albeit on a different night.
Now, some of you may ask how a lifelong fan of the Dark Knight could condone such a re-imagining, but the answer is simple: The writing and onscreen performances have been razor sharp. Aside from giving us the Court of Owls for the first time in live action, we’ve witnessed Edward Nygma finally embrace his destiny by becoming the Riddler, Cameron Monaghan return as the brilliant proto-Joker that is Jerome Valeska, as well as Bruce Wayne himself taking his first great strides toward cape and cowl.

On paper, Little Inferno can come across as a tough sell. In a nutshell, the game revolves around planting yourself in front of a fireplace, ordering objects from a catalog, throwing them in said fireplace, then lighting them ablaze. With plenty of games releasing every week, it’s hard enough to stand out from the crowd, and Little Inferno doesn’t try to compromise its vision by appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Perhaps that’s why I have such respect for it, and its developers, Tomorrow Corporation. With some of the development team having also worked on the excellent World of Goo, it’s easy to point out the similarities between the two titles. There was a point in Gotham season three when it felt like this show was dealing with some of its major problems. It streamlined its vast ensemble cast into a few focused plots. It broke out of many of its redundant narrative cycles, hinting at a potential romance between Ed and Oswald that felt organic and sweet and increased queer representation to boot. It stopped trying to make Jim Gordon into Batman for five seconds and, instead, recognized that he was kind of a mess.

3.10 Time Bomb
Time Bomb was a particularly bloody episode of Gotham, but it balanced the gore by tying together multiple plotlines in satisfying ways. Though, in many ways, Time Bomb felt like a transitionary ep — Mario and Lee race closer to the altar, Bruce and Selina discuss their relationship, the noose tightens on Oswald's secret — it was elegantly told, which is something Gotham can't often boast.
Ed has gone from lovebird mode to depressed lump to heartbroken vengeance mode in zero seconds flat. Again, I would be a bit more invested in this storyline if Isabella wasn't a plot device and she and...

It seems Mario and Barnes have something in common.
As suspected, Mario isn't as innocent as he appears, and on Gotham Season 3 Episode 10 we learned exactly what his little secret might be. It doesn't spell good news for Jim or Lee.
It didn't surprise me in the least that Mario had something to hide. I originally thought that maybe he was a product of Indian Hill which would have been pretty bad, but him being just like Barnes is perhaps a little worse.
At least I think that's what his issue is. It certainly appeared that way with the crazy strength and the bulging veins.
The big question is: how did he get infected with Alice Tetch's blood in the first place? Could he have injected himself with it because he wanted to experiment on himself? This would sort of make sense as to why he had that injection site...

As Gotham approaches its mid-season finale, all of the stories that have had their groundwork laid are coming to fruition. The best part about the season is that, though these stories have been simmering and are now really cooking, none of them have felt drawn out or rushed. Some of them have been more predictable than others, but largely, the season has been exciting and fun to watch to this point. This week on Gotham: Barbara searches for Butch and Tabitha, who have been taken by Nygma as penance for Isabella’s death. Barbara discovers the true killer. Gotham’s second season finale brings all that came before together in a fun and exciting hour that sets off a new chain of events that are certain to make the upcoming season as much of a thrill ride as this season has been, if not more so.
Gordon’s heroic journey has been filled with despair and tragedy, which has been mostly his own doing. This season Gordon has been corrupted by Gotham City so much so that he has crossed the line from hero to straight out murderer. While Gordon’s path has been dark it has been an interesting one, of a man who has lost himself in trying to find justice in a system where it seemed impossible. While Gotham could’ve simply been about a man...

When I applied to University of North Carolina (Unc) Graduate School of Business to earn my Mba, one of the application’s essay questions asked “If you were go back into time to the founding of this university, what three items would you bring with you?”
I imagine the purpose of this was to discern candidates’ true character based on which items were most important to them. I bet there were a lot of answers that listed items like family photos or the Bible. I took a different approach. Having grown up on a steady diet of time travel comics and stories (most notably Mark Twain’s A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court) I interpreted the question in a different way. I answered it by thinking about the three items that would have the greatest positive impact on history. One item I recall bringing back in time (in...
