Guthrie and his men investigate the armed robbery of a small bookstore. The shop's pretty owner, who was slugged by the crook's blackjack, told the police that the robber had a hideous deformed face, but could provide no other description. Guthrie suspects that the man's features were obscured by a silk stocking.
