"Mork & Mindy" originated as a spin-off from the "Happy Days" season 5 episode "My Favorite Orkan" which aired in 1978. According to the Robin Williams documentary "Come Inside My Mind," the episode was created to capitalize on a little-known movie called "Star Wars" that "Happy Days" creator Garry Marshal's son loved.
At the time, Williams was a recent Julliard graduate still awaiting his big break and quickly gaining a reputation as an off-the-wall local street performer. Faster than you can say "Nanu Nanu," Robin Williams' casting on "Mork & Mindy" launched him to stardom. His quirky, quick-witted improvisations, voices, and pratfalls were perfect for the out-of-this-world character of Mork. The show itself aired for four solid seasons from 1978 to 1982. Since then, several members of the series' cast — including the beloved Williams — have sadly passed away. However, one of the main stars is still living to this day.

Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana's relationship was complicated, to say the least, but it seems like there was true affection between the pair sometimes. At official engagements, the Princess of Wales had a subtle way of honoring the Queen, just as Diana's daughters-in-law Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton now honor the "People's Princess." If you look closely at some of Princess Diana's most memorable outfits, you'll notice a brooch on the left side of her chest. Though it looks like just another sparkly accessory, it was actually a gift from Queen Elizabeth. Known as the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II, the brooch features a photo of the Queen when young wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Order of the Garter Riband and Star. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) So, why is this gift so special? The Royal Family Order is only given to female members of the British royal family,...

You could stay that Princess Diana excelled at many things, including being a devoted mother and a style icon. But the one thing she was never quite good at was cooking, according to her former chef. This little-known revelation makes Diana all the more relatable, in our opinion. After all, you can't be good at everything, right? "She couldn’t cook; the princess was a terrible cook, she really was," Darren McGrady told Hello! Online. "I would actually leave food for her. I worked Monday to Friday and I’d leave food in the refrigerator for the weekend, like stuffed peppers. She loved those for a weekend lunch." (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Not only did Diana not know how to cook, but she also wasn't sure how to reheat food, according to McGrady. "I actually put cling film on with a little sticky note with a number two on it,...

Though we adore Kate Middleton as much as the next avid royal fan, we admit we're not quite as smitten with her official targets — after all, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Lady Carrickfergus is a bit of a mouthful! But this does have us wondering: Will Kate ever be Queen, and what would she be called if that happened? As it turns out, there's a big possibility the fashionable Kate could one day add "Queen" to her long list of titles. Her husband, Prince William, is currently second in line to the throne, right behind his father, Prince Charles. Though the dashing William, Duke of Cambridge, will have the option of either choosing a whole new name or keeping his current one (in which case he'd be King William V), Kate will be known simply as Her Majesty Queen Catherine — despite previous reports that she'd...

Many members of the British royal family have worldwide name recognition, but that doesn't exclude them from having to wear name tags at Royal Ascot. So why was Meghan Markle spotted withought her name tag (cue the gasps) even though her husband, Prince Harry, had his pinned to his lapel? Though the Duchess of Sussex technically has to follow this odd British royal rule, her excuse for breaking it makes sense. It's been reported that Meghan's custom Givenchy dress was made of pure silk — a material that would have been easily damaged by the name tag's pin. Meghan attached the tag to her purse instead so as to not ruin her gown. And she wasn't the only royal who ditched the name tag. Her mother-in-law, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also decided against wearing the badge. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) The Royal Ascot is known for its strict fashion rules: hats are required,...

With all the attention surrounding Kate Middleton giving birth to her third child and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decadent royal wedding, Zara Tindall's (quite literal) big baby news hasn't received the attention it deserves. Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter just gave birth to the heaviest royal baby in decades, and we think a congrats and a well-deserved glass of wine are in order. Buckingham Palace confirmed on June 19 that Zara had given birth to a baby girl the day before. The newborn weighed 9 lbs. and 3 oz., which absolutely smashed the record Prince Louis set in April when he tipped the scales at 8 lbs. and 7 oz. Zara's older daughter, Mia Tindall, weighed 7 lbs. and 12 oz. when she was born in 2014. Her cute cousins Prince George and Princess Charlotte weighed 8 lbs. and 6 oz. and 8 lbs. and 3 oz., respectively. If you're anything like us, you jumped for joy when Fixer Upper stars Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines announced the birth of baby No. 5 on June 23. Ever since Chip shared their sweet news on Twitter, you've probably been gushing over the cute new photos that Joanna has posted on social media of her "cuddle bug." But as adorable as this story is, we have to say that the Gaines baby name somehow makes it even cuter. Joanna, 40, revealed the gosh-darn-cute name to her followers in an Instagram post: "Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love. He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early — which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one." We all rememeber Princess Diana's hair always looked beautiful, just like the rest of the beloved late royal. Now, the man who cut her hair for more than a decade is opening up about what his experience was like. In an exclusive interview with Town & Country, Richard Dalton explained the enormous responsibilities that came along with trimming the lovely royal's locks. "I was with her every day for 12 years," he told the publication. Dalton first met Diana when she was just 17 years old, when he was cutting her sisters' hair at Fenwick of Bond Street’s in-store salon. He said he wasn't responsible for the People's Princess's famous flicked-and-feathered haircut. That was the work of another stylist named Kevin Shanley — who also styled Diana for her wedding to Prince Charles. But not long after Diana got hitched, Dalton was put in charge of making sure that her hairdo remained royally stunning.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, the big questions surrounding their relationship were, what does Queen Elizabeth think of her grandson's relationship? Does she like Meghan? And will the two get along? While there have been rumors that the Queen does indeed like her new granddaughter-in-law, perhaps the most convincing piece of evidence that the monarch actually really likes Meghan is that she recently gifted the Duchess of Sussex a stunning new pair of earrings. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) During the duo's first solo tour together, Meghan was seen wearing a sparkly pair of pearl and diamond drop earrings. The Queen wore a larger set of pearls, so you could even say the duo were sporting matching accessories! The gorgeous ear ornaments were just the icing on top of an eventful trip for Meghan. Well, Kate Middleton may have worldwide name recognition, but that doesn't exclude her from having to wear a name tag at Royal Ascot. Though the events have already started and will continue for the next few days, Kate probably won't make any appearances as she's on maternity leave. If, however, she surprises us all, she'll have to follow an odd British royal rule. The Royal Ascot is known for its strict fashion rules: hats are required, dress straps must be at least one inch or wider, jackets are Ok as long as the outfit underneath complies with Royal Ascot dress code, and jumpsuits are fine if they're ankle length. That same rigidity applies to royal name tag rules. Though it's highly unlikely Prince William and Kate would ever be confused with another couple in a crowd, they are required to wear name badges so security knows what areas the royals have permission to access.

Though Prince George and Princess Charlotte have shown great maturity, they're still young kids. As such, it'd be safe to assume that Prince William and Kate Middleton keep them close at every event they attend, right? Actually, it seems George and Charlotte are relegated to the kids' table at royal functions because sitting with their parents would break royal protocol. George and Charlotte must sit with the other children at royal dinners because they have not yet learned the "art of polite conversation," according to Harper's Bazaar. Though Charlotte's descriptions of her day at nursery school or what happens in her favorite episode of Peppa Pig are hardly controversial, it's still not considered proper dinner conversation. Fortunately, George and Charlotte seem to get along marvelously, so we're sure they don't mind spending dinner in each other's company. Plus, they have plenty of cute royal cousins to chat with. Much has been said about Meghan Markle breaking royal protocol and modernizing the royal family, but we can't forget that Princess Diana was the original trailblazer. From her refusal to say that she would "obey" her husband in her wedding vows to the way she eschewed gloves and hats during royal engagements ("You can’t cuddle a child in a hat"), Diana was a rebellious princess. Most prominently, it was her resistance toward the royal family's childbirth traditions that paved the way for Kate Middleton to give birth on her own terms. As far back as the 1840s, royals would enter what was called "twilight sleep" during childbirth. This process involved medicating the mother with morphine and scopolamine so that she could give birth pain-free while still somewhat conscious. Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth both opted for this method when they delivered their children, which was also carried out at their palace homes.

We all remember Princess Diana as quite the fashionista, but one trend that might be a bit confusing to her fans is why she wore two watches. If you look back at old photos of Diana from the beginning of her engagement to Prince Charles, you can see pictures of Diana with two timepieces: one with a delicate gold strap and the other with a dark leather strap. So what was the reasoning behind her accessories? Sentimentality, apparently. Though her marriage to Charles was infamous, at the beginning stages of their relationship, it really does appear as though Diana was smitten. As proof of her love for Charles, Diana would wear his watch when she cheered him on at his polo matches. She wore it as a tribute and a token of good luck. (Cue the chorus of "Awws.") (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Of course, we all know how their love story ended.

Of all the perks of being a royal, getting to shop like one might be our favorite. What's not to love about browsing without other shoppers shoving past you down an aisle, skipping the long fitting-room lines, and avoiding talkative shopkeepers? That's what it was like for Princess Diana when she popped into the shops. Stefan Kyriazis once managed the flagship store of fashion brand Joseph in London and shared his experience serving Princess Diana there. According to Kyriazis, the staff had already received notice that "The People's Princess" would be arriving, and as a result, the 14 employees were asked to wait in another room while she shopped. The only workers allowed on the floor were the cashier and Kyriazis. Though Queen Elizabeth gets a bad rap for the way she treated Princess Diana, some royal enthusiasts might not know that the duo started a new royal wedding custom together. "The People's Princess" is the one who, with some prodding from the Queen, began the tradition of having two royal bouquets at her wedding — something it's believed both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle followed — and the reason why makes so much sense. It was at the Queen's request that Diana decided to have two royal bouquets. "If we go back to the Queen’s wedding in 1947, when you look at the state photographs of all the bridesmaids and royal guests — there’s the queen without a bouquet," David Longman, the chief florist at Diana's wedding, explained during a segment of the British program Invitation to the Royal Wedding. A lot of riddles have a reputation for being corny, while others are just way too obvious or overused that they've essentially become clichés at this point. So it was definitely refreshing to come across a truly unique one we hadn't heard before on a website called Science Trends. The best part? It's a riddle that asks the age-old question at the end: "What am I?" While several "What am I?" riddles can be equally entertaining and head-scratching, we think this particular one is our favorite one yet. It asks us all: "I can fly, but I have no wings. The royal wedding has come and gone, and the new Duchess of Sussex seems to have settled into her role nicely. Being a British royal certainly seems glamorous, but the seemingly endless perks aren't free. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of royal family rules to follow, including the requirement that you curtsy to Queen Elizabeth when she enters a room. But you're not done curtsying or bowing once you've paid your respects to Queen Elizabeth. Royal family curtsy protocol dictates that you acknowledge the important people in the room in a specific order that, to be honest, is a little hard to follow. So we've broken down the proper sequence of royal family curtsying, which is actually quite an intricate process. So, say you find yourself in the royal court some day and you're not sure what to do. The Queen is the most important royal, so you curtsy to her first. Then, you'd curtsy to the next highest-ranking royal — most likely the Queen's children — in order from oldest to youngest.

It's no doubt that Queen Elizabeth is definitely a dog person. For decades, the Queen ruled over the United Kingdom alongside a loyal pack of Pembroke Welsh corgis. But, a few weeks ago, Elizabeth's heart was shattered when she lost the company of her 14-year-old corgi, Willow. But it seems the Queen has now found a way to fill the doggy-shaped hole in her heart with Meghan Markle's rescue beagle, Guy. Queen Elizabeth's beloved royal corgi was put to sleep on Sunday, April 15. Thankfully, Meghan's dog is providing the Queen with a little bit of comfort. The two were seen riding side by side in the back seat of a Range Rover headed toward Windsor a day before Prince Harry and Meghan's royal wedding on May 19. The most adorable thing I’ve seen so far about the #royalwedding is Meghan Markle’s beagle, Guy, riding in the car with the Queen.

Royal couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are making headlines all over the world as they prepare to tie the knot this weekend. It's no surprise why — the duo are clearly very much in love, and you can tell by the way they speak about each other! They kept details of their relationship secret at the beginning. In fact, it was only when Meghan was being bullied by press that Harry confirmed they were an item. Harry, the chivalrous gentleman that he is, issued a rare statement from the palace as a warning to anyone harassing Meghan or her family. He refused to delve into personal details too soon, and instead focused his energy on protecting his lady and her privacy. (Princess Diana would've been so proud.) Similarly, Meghan kept her lips (mostly) zipped about her relationship, and refused to read any negative news or criticism from naysayers and focused instead on nurturing their relationship.

The late Princess Diana's style has always impressed us, and we can still feel her influencing fashion trends. That Kate Middleton often channels Diana's classy, effortless attire with her own dresses is a testament to her mother-in-law's timeless fashions. Though she was known for being able to rock any design, there was one designer Diana was hesitant to wear: Chanel. The storied French fashion house is perhaps one of the best-known labels in the world, but Chanel reminded Diana of the man who broke her heart — and of his mistress. Back in 1996, Australian designer Jayson Brunsdon was dressing Princess Diana before a hospital charity event. Diana was wearing a cream Versace skirt suit and wanted help picking out shoes to go with her ensemble. She dumped some options in front of Brunsdon, who selected a pair of Chanel shoes. Diamond in movies such as the classic comedy Some Like It Hot (1959), the Best Picture Oscar winner The Apartment (1960), and One Two Three (1961), notable as James Cagney's last film (until a brief comeback in Milos Forman's Ragtime two decades later). Although some of these movies were quite well received, Wilder's later efforts – which also included The Seven Year Itch...

Mini Cher! Miley Cyrus is channeling '70s Cher in a Bob Mackie-influenced design as part of her Bangerz tour. Despite being heavily criticized by the pop legend for her raunchy MTV VMAs performance back in September, Cyrus paid homage to the icon as she zipped down a giant tongue slide for her show entrance in Anaheim, Calif., on Thursday, Feb. 20. The 21-year-old's ensemble is remarkably similar to the Mackie-designed costume worn by the "Woman's World" singer, now 67, over forty years ago on the opening night [...]...

Taylor Swift took the stage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday (Nov. 13) to perform a handful of hits while the Angels walked the runway and, while her fans will likely eat the performance up when it airs in December, she didn't earn rave reviews from everyone involved.
Angle Jessica Hart went on record with Women's Wear Daily at the show's afterparty, admitting she didn't really think the "22" singer was the right choice as headliner. "I think, you know what, god bless her [Taylor Swift] heart. I think she's great. But, I don't know, to me, she didn't fit. I don't know if I should say that."
In order to appease all the Angels for 2014's show, here are five artists who fit the bill a bit better than Swift.

Cher has slated her 2010 musical film Burlesque.
Burlesque starred Christina Aguilera as an aspiring dancer who attempted to launch her career at Hollywood club run by a veteran of the industry (Cher).
Cher reflected on Burlesque in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, and admitted that she was disappointed by the finished movie.
"It wasn't a good film. It had a few good moments, but I didn't even like my performance that much," the 'Woman's World' singer commented.
She added: "What, I don't have a brain? I'm old but I'm still pretty on top of everything."
Cher made headlines in 2011 by complaining that her Burlesque song 'You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me' did not receive an Oscar nomination.
The popstar recently released her new album Closer to the Truth in the Us. The record will debut on October 14 in the UK.

Cher is a flawless human being. If somehow, you were unconvinced of this, look no further than her Closer to the Truth album cover! The 67-year-old (but really ageless) icon tweeted a link to the cover Thursday, which shows her as a platinum blond looking quite seductive. It would appear that the "Woman's World" singer has on some sort of negligée, but her body language and the strap falling off her shoulder seem to imply she doesn't mind taking it off! In the Target edition version of the cover, she appears to be lying down on a white furry bed of sorts. Cher's 26th (!) studio album will be released Sept. 30, and the pop diva is quite confident we're all going to love it,...

"Closer to the Truth," out Sept. 24, will mark Cher's 26th studio album. She recently released the new video for lead single "A Woman's World," which also features the singer emphasizing her blond mane.
Fans of Cher's late-'90s comeback will likely be pleased with the new project, as she said on "20/20" earlier this year that "Closer" is most similar to her popular 1998 album "Believe."
"I think this is the best album I've ever done," Cher said. "The songs are so brilliant. I got so lucky."...

Cher is back—and better than ever. The legendary pop star flaunts her fierce persona and powerhouse vocals in the new music video for "Woman's World"—the first single from her upcoming 26th (!) studio album Closer to Truth. The energetic dance track is everything you'd expect from the pop diva, who belts out the infectious tune in a variety of eccentric outfits while empowering women around the world. Cher continues to show off her love for wigs in the clip, even rocking a hairpiece made out of newspaper clippings, perhaps to poke fun at her lengthy career in the public eye. The 67-year-old music legend is also joined by a variety of women in the video, all of different...

Cher is celebrating female empowerment in the new video for "Woman's World," which finds the 67-year-old singer shapeshifting into women of various races and body types. Something that also does some shapeshifting in the video is Cher's hair. We first see her wearing a mane made of newspaper scraps, which turns into a red Grace Coddington-style bouffant and then a blond "Believe"-era wig.
"Woman's World," which has already peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart, marks Cher's first non-soundtrack release since 2003. It will serve as the first single from "Closer to the Truth," out Sept. 24. Tune in and decide which of Cher's coiffures is the best.

It's been 12 long years since Cher released her last music video -- but she's back ... and so are her ridiculous wigs. The video won't embed in the Us, but you can watch the premiere of "Woman's World" over at the Daily Mail. The singer also shared a sneak peek on her Instagram, which you can see above. And yes, the 67-year-old is crazy as ever.Sporting a collection of wacky wigs -- including one made out of newspaper -- she's seen singing the song while her face is superimposed over other women's bodies. Hard to believe that the last video she did was for "Song for the Lonely" back in 2002!This video leaves us wanting more -- and hopefully we'll get it when the stars of "RuPaul's Drag Race" release their own version on September 5.Here's a sneak peek from that video below: Read more...

We hate to say it, but you know you're in trouble when you're caught wearing the same thing as Cher, queen of the fashion fails... This kind of court jester-meets-Beetlejuice look is expected from the "Woman's World" singer. Let's never forget that she wore a spider-meets-Medusa costume to the Academy Awards... Ashanti, however, has never been known for being an edgy dresser, but unfortunately there's a first time for everything... It's hard to judge who wore it best considering this black-and-white Balmain suit looks equally strange on the Burlesque star and Army Wives actress. Yes the contrast colors are in and the tight fit is flattering, but we can't get past the stripes and...
