The 100th Tom and Jerry cartoon.
One of a handful of episodes where Tom and Jerry work together, as the pals they really are.
The score for this cartoon was featured on the audio CD "Tom & Jerry & Tex Avery Too!".
The postwar baby boom is the storyline here. Mid century life centered around the new suburbs and the families being raised there, telephones in every home (well, sort of, as the party line was still a reality for many) and...teenaged babysitters.
The mid-century house shown here has the very latest in kitchen appliances and home furnishings. Telephones, for the most part, came in a standard model and were uniformly black, though change there would be on the way in a few years.
