This is thought to be the final short film created in the so-called Termite Terrace, a small building located in the Warner Sunset lot. In 1955, Warner Bros. Cartoons relocated its staff to a brand-new facility in Burbank.
The title comes from the often quoted proverb: To err is human, to forgive is divine.
In this film, Wile E. Coyote builds a UNIVAC computer. Introduced in 1951, the UNIVAC I was "the first general-purpose electronic digital computer design for business application produced in the United States." Its first unit was sold to the United States Census Bureau. A UNIVAC unit was used to correctly predict the results of the 1952 United States presidential election. The UNIVAC I was eventually replaced by the UNIVAC II (1958), which had a core memory five times larger than its predecessor.
One of only a very few cartoons featuring Bugs where he does not say the line: "Eh, what's up doc?".
Wile E. Coyote speaks in this interaction with Bugs. He only ever speaks in the Bugs cartoons, never with the roadrunner.
