Gidget's striped blouse at the breakfast table in California and Abby's striped dress at the Luau are the same fabric pattern. Abby wears that same striped dress when they go to see Eddie at the Moana, and then the next night at the Luau.
This sequel to "Gidget" uses the exact same beach, Leo Carrillo State Park, as the original. Though it's cliff and rock formations provide a dramatic background for the action, the volcanic boulders and formations out in the water would be an insane choice for surfers to try to ride safely into the shore, though.
The name of one of the Hawaiian dancers in the first floor show is Telu Mansfield and after marrying Joe Taylor became Telu Mansfield Taylor. She became a Hawaiian dance teacher.
