- an entire squadron of union soldiers escorting a carriage full of money across a small pond are ambushed and slaughtered by a group of confederates who then take the money. dynamite is thrown and large explosions send horses and riders falling down and many men are shot with rifles and pistols. after the massacre the soldiers are seen lying on the ground covered in blood. the pond water is red with blood.
- a womans face is clawed at and she is then stabbed to death with a bayonet (not graphically shown)
- a bar fight that is more humorous and light hearted than violent.
