Alec Baldwin just got a "Get Out of Homophobia Jail Free" card from the people at GLAAD ... because they don't have the balls to go after a self-proclaimed Hollywood liberal. After Baldwin essentially called for the gay-bashing of a Daily Mail reporter ... the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation -- the same org. that's Crushed people for making far less harmful and threatening statements -- asked critics to back off Baldwin."Alec Baldwin is making it...

While I know most tend to associate actor Zach Galligan with the movie 'Gremlins,' for me growing up I was always a bigger fan of his portrayal of Mark in the 'Waxwork' movies. After all, he got to fight all the classic Universal monsters, go up against the Waxwork proprietor played by the great David Warner and was friends (and potentially more?) with mega-babes Michelle Johnson (China) and Deborah Foreman (Sarah). I've always had a great deal of affection for the first 'Waxwork' because not only is it a perfect blend of horror and comedy, but because it was also an all out monster mash that didn't skimp out on the monsters or the gore. Writer/director Anthony Hickox (who also later helmed 'Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth,' 'Warlock: Armageddon,' and 'Sundown: A Vampire In Retreat') teamed up once more with...

★★★★☆ Controversial and legendary playwright Joe Orton is responsible for bringing us Loot (1970), for providing the source material for Gary Oldman's astounding performance in Prick Up Your Ears (1987) and for creating Entertaining Mr. Sloane (1970), a wonderfully colourful black comedy about manipulation and sexual repression. Through the directorial eye of Douglas Hickox, the themes of sadism, homosexuality, nymphomania and murder are explored in this wild tale of a charismatic young man named Sloane (Peter McEnery) and the startling affect he has on siblings - Kath (Beryl Reid) and Ed (Harry Andrews).

Alec Baldwin has decided to trade TV for the stage when "30 Rock" wraps at NBC. It was announced Wednesday (June 27) that he has been cast in play, "Orphans," by Lyle Kessler and directed by Daniel Sullivan.
This is not Baldwin's first foray onto the Great White Way. He first appeared on Broadway back in 1992 as Stanley Kowalski in a production of "A Streetcar named Desire." He has also appeared on Broadway in "Twentieth Century" and "Entertaining Mr. Sloane" and appeared in a Guild Hall production of "Equus" in 2010 in East Hampton, N.Y.
The upcoming seventh season of "30 Rock" will be the show's last and it will most likely wrap shooting before Baldwin debuts in "Orphans" in the spring of 2013. "Orphans" is about two orphaned brothers who kidnap a wealthy older man (Baldwin), who then becomes a father figure to them. The two brothers have not yet been cast.

Alec Baldwin has already lined up his first post-30 Rock gig: The actor will star in the Broadway debut of Orphans, directed by Daniel Sullivan and produced by Frederick Zollo and Robert Cole.
“I have dreamed, for a long time, of doing this play with this director,” Baldwin said in a statement that was put out with the announcement. “It’s an honor to work with Dan Sullivan in Lyle Kessler’s Orphans.”
The play features three characters. At the center of it all are two orphaned brothers who live in a run-down row house in North Philadelphia. There’s Treat,...
