Akira Toriyama’s journey started as a mangaka rather unconventionally, but going with the flow helped him create one of the greatest shonen series in history. Having taken inspiration from the best, he managed to create his magnum opus. What once was just a one-shot story soon became an epic tale of great battles and even greater power scaling.

Toriyama contributed his very best for the series and thus became a legend forever to be remembered. His work became an inspiration throughout countries. A lot of it came because of the unique character designs that incorporated the ideas of what an action manga like Dragon Ball signified. However, the author was keen on changing one factor.

Akira Toriyama is the one who revolutionized the manga and anime industry. The Dragon Ball franchise set up the path for the Big Three to gain worldwide popularity and become a pillar of the business. Every hardcore anime fan knows that Dragon Ball was inspired by Kung Fu. Akira Toriyama even based one of the characters on Jackie Chan.
The mangaka was a massive fan of Kung-Fu. His magnum opus is a big proof of him being a martial arts fan. Apart from Jackie Chan, there is another famous martial artist who inspired Toriyama sensei.
His paralyzing gaze was shown through Goku while he was on planet Namek. The mentioned martial artist is none other than Bruce Lee. The Kung-Fu star was always with Akira Toriyama in his thoughts and soul.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the most critically acclaimed series of all time. Not only does it have stellar fan reviews from all sides, it also has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. One of its most commended aspect is its immersive world-building. Not only are the dynamics between factions excellently well-thought-out, but the powers and bending as a concept are truly one of a kind.

Knowing just how magnificent the power structure is, it is surprising to find out that the original plan that the network had was a lot different. The Matrix is one of the most acclaimed projects in the sci-fi genre, directed by the Wachowskis. Its groundbreaking visual effects and iconic action sequences contributed to its mega success. However, this movie gives a different feel thanks to its fusion of Western and Eastern fighting styles, skillfully choreographed by Hong Kong martial arts choreographer Yuen Woo-ping.
Keanu Reeves in The Matrix
Known for his work in the Hong Kong martial arts cinema, he never actively pursued opportunities to work in Hollywood. Given that he was offered to work on The Matrix, he requested a strict condition that would be required to be fulfilled only to convince him to become involved in the project. The filmmakers ultimately agreed to his condition.
Woo-Ping Yuen Wanted to Take Control of The Matrix‘s Action Scenes
The success of the 1999 movie spawned a whole franchise featuring Keanu Reeves in the lead role of Neo.

The upcoming film ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ has many artistes in its team of animators who were kids when the first part of the franchise came out, revealed the director, Mike Mitchell. The makers also hired action stunt choreographers for the first time in order to lend perfection to motion capture.
‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ follows the journey of Po, who must train a new warrior when he is chosen to become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. However, when a powerful shape-shifting sorceress sets her eyes on his Staff of Wisdom, he realises he needs reinforcement. Teaming up with a quick-witted corsac fox, Po soon discovers that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.
Talking about the fourth installment coming after eight years, Mike Mitchell said: “It’s a good problem to have. We took so long to get back to the theatres, eight years,...

“Kung Fu Panda 4” director Mike Mitchell gravitates toward villains that can “reflect the hero.” And that’s something that he leaned into with the Chameleon, a threatening two-and-a half foot shape shifter voiced by Oscar winner Viola Davis, who is the nemesis of Jack Black’s titular panda Po in the latest installment of the DreamWorks Animation franchise.
In the movie, which Universal opens in theaters this weekend, “Dragon Warrior” Po is instructed to find a successor as he moves to a new role as spiritual leader in the Valley of Peace when a formidable foe appears, threatening the village. “The Chameleon is a little character who has been underestimated and that’s similar to Po, who has been underestimated,” says Mitchell, whose directing credits include Dwa’s “Trolls” and “Shrek Forever After.” “Who would think that a roly poly panda could ever become a Kung Fu master?”

Jack Black’s Po is back after nearly a decade, and he’s already receiving a hero’s welcome from audiences.
Kung Fu Panda 4 opened to a stellar $58.3 million domestically, well ahead of expectations and a near-series best in a win for the family marketplace, as well as for DreamWorks Animation and parent company Universal (the studio behind Sunday’s Academy Awards frontrunner Oppenheimer). The only other Kung Fu Panda installment to open higher was the first one in 2008 with $62 million, not adjusted for inflation.
Along with Black, returning members of the Kung Fu Panda 4 voice cast include Dustin Hoffman as Kung Fu master Shifu, James Hong as Po’s adoptive father, Bryan Cranston as Po’s birth father Li and Ian McShane as Shifu’s former student and arch-nemesis.

You can’t keep the Dragon Warrior down; Kung Fu Panda 4 is off to a promising start at the box office as it has grossed $3.8 million in Thursday night previews. Not bad, Po. Not bad at all.
The box office projections for Kung Fu Panda 4 are shaping up to be the second-best opening weekend of the entire franchise with $52 million. That would help it take the number one spot from Dune: Part Two, which is expected to take in $41 million. The Thursday night preview number is also the best opening for a Dreamworks Animation title since How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, which opened to a $3 million preview take. Speaking of Dune: Part Two, the acclaimed sequel will finish the week with a domestic take of $111 million, putting it over the first movie’s entire domestic run of $108.8 million.

The affable, karate-chopping, dumpling-loving panda Po is back for his next big challenge – to find and train his replacement – in DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 4, the latest addition to its animated film franchise. As the film opens, Po (voiced by Jack Black) is in the middle of taking down a new big baddie from the sea and saving some residents of the Valley of Peace. After triumphantly capturing the giant sea creature, Po is once again cheered and applauded.
Returning home to help his two dads, Ping (voiced by James Hong) and Li (voiced by Bryan Cranston), with their restaurant, Po hears about a new threat to the valley. A sorceress called The Chameleon (voiced by Viola Davis), because she’s a small lizard that can shapeshift into any creature, is determined to wreak havoc on the town.

Po (Jack Black), the sad-clown-eyed, dude-speaking, dumpling-loving, dumpling-shaped whirling dervish of the “Kung Fu Panda” films, has a word to describe his favorite martial-arts move. More than that, it describes the exalted state inside him as he executes it. The word is “skadoosh.” Early on in “Kung Fu Panda 4,” Po is in the middle of a combat training moment when he asks, “Where’s the skadoosh?” It’s a meaningful question, because what he’s really saying is: You can fight all you want, but without the skadoosh, what’s the point?

If you want exceptional animations, a gripping narrative, hardcore action, and a main character that will make you laugh your guts out while dropping your jaws to the floor at the same time, then look no further than the famous Kung Fu Panda franchise.

Set to be released in March this year, Kung Fu Panda 4 is all set to be the next addition to the star-studded trilogy, and each new update about the film garners a little more fan attention than before. Just like the most recent one, which has gotten all anime fans listening.

DreamWorks Animation has unleashed a brand new trailer for the much-loved follow-up in the franchise of ‘Kung Fu Panda 4.’
After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black), is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.
That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position.
Even worse, there’s been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. And Chameleon has her greedy, beady little...

Besides adding new enemies and stories to the game through this Dlc, FromSoftware has also added a bunch of new equipment.
New equipment does not mean new weapons and armor pieces, but brand-new weapon classes. The developers have done this to keep their Dlc fresh for players who have not stopped playing Elden Ring since its launch in 2022. But one class is so unique that it has never been seen in a Soulslike title.

American Born Chinese actor Ben Wang needs to start practicing his crane kicks because he’s the star of Sony’s new Karate Kid. Wang’s casting comes after a global search for the right actor. Wang beat thousands of competitors for the role, with 10,000 entries reported in 24 hours. The anticipated film finds Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio reprising their roles from previous chapters of the Karate Kid franchise.

Not only did he display a profound understanding of the character, but he’s also fluent in Mandarin and trained in multiple martial arts forms. His arsenal of skills includes karate, wing chun/kung fu, gumdo, Kempo, and taekwondo training.
Details about the plot remain a mystery, though we hear Sony will move the story to the East Coast and focus on a teen from China who finds identity and strength in martial arts.
