This is really something

This lovely and hilarious Oscar nominated short film tells the story of a man (Raynold Gideon, multi-task artist who also wrote and produced the movie) pressured to take a small talking frog to his home after hearing time and again that if he do that, he won't regret. And he doesn't it! A great surprise will come his way - better not spoil it, even though most viewers will probably guess what it is.

Extremely short and simple, Gideon and director Ron Satlof bring to the table awkward and funny situations for Harry to play, while keeping his new friend either with himself or at home, hiding it from his wife's view. Since I can't describe more about the scenarios and the moments (trust me, you have to see it for yourself), I can only point out other elements that make this movie worth seeing such as Gideon's performance, one of those funny faces you don't easily forget. Though not a comic genius, he's a funny guy, with a great delivery of lines. In case you heard his name before: he's the writer behind "Starman", "Stand By Me" and "Kuffs", just to mention a few of his film credits. The happyish score that follows the movie is also a strong point in favor, enhancing nice moments.

Movies and magic..."Frog Story" is a fantastic combination of both. 10/10
