German VHS release by VCL was cut by around 16 minutes. The DVD release from Anime Virtual is uncut.
The remastered Manga Entertainment Region 1 DVD release in 2006 features an edited opening titles sequence that uses stills from the animation. This was apparently done at the request of TMS to remove the Japanese-language titles and credits.
Some of the names are changed (most for copyright reasons) in the original Streamline Video dub of the film.
Although otherwise accurate, the Manga Entertainment dub adds profanities not present in the original Japanese or the subtitles.
