- The 1986 UK Stablecane video version was cut by 3 minutes 5 secs by the BBFC to heavily edit shots of exploding heads, neck bitings, a woman's eye and breast being stabbed with a spike, an arm removal, the elevator attack, shots of bloody wounds, and a woman's breast being sliced off with a knife. All the cuts were fully waived for the 2003 Anchor Bay DVD release.
- The Italian DVD from Raro Video is the uncut version, and runs 88 minutes.
- The Arrow Region B Blu-Ray combo pack has had 17 seconds trimmed from the movie. The film originally ends with a 90 second credits sequence, over which the ending theme plays. For 17 of those seconds, the screen is black but the theme still plays. Arrow removed those 17 seconds, fading out the end titles to black after they finish scrawling. The theme audio is also faded out at this point to make this somewhat useless edit, to save 17 mere seconds, less jarring.
- Due to the uncut "Not under 18" rated version being confiscated & banned entirely, a heavily censored German version was made as a result. This version was granted a "Not under 12" rating by the FSK and about 10 minutes was cut to remove almost all brutal violent moments. In 2021, the German banishment was lifted and shortly afterwards the uncut version reclaimed its original "Not under 18" rating.
- The 1999 German Laser Pacific Red Edition DVD release, Grossgrangriff Der Zombies, uses a Japanese print of the movie. Japanese text appears sometimes at the bottom of the screen when a major character is introduced. A fairly common inclusion for their imported movies, this text usually provides the name of and sometimes a brief description of the character.
