Violence & Gore
- Antonio borrows a large sum of money from Shylock, offering him a pound of his own flesh if he cannot repay it. After Antonio loses all of his merchandise and money in a shipwreck, Antonio is unable to repay Shylock. Shylock brings Antonio to court to demand that he be allowed to cut this "pound of flesh" from Antonio's body. The judge initially claims that Shylock must be allowed to proceed with the cutting, but he is stopped before he can actually do this.
