The American Scene are a small time band with big upcoming potential. From Berkeley California, their aspirations and goals were no doubt set high from the beginning due to the history of big names coming from the San Francisco Bay and greater California area such as Faith No More, Journey, Jefferson Starship, Papa Roach and Train. There must be something in the air to produce such individuals to go on to worldwide success, so does it look like The American Scene also carries this potential?
Their recently released album Safe For Now (7th August) is their first full length album which was released under Pure Noise Records. This contains 10 well crafted and powerful tracks which has the potential to be enjoyed by all. Their evident Punk/ Rock/ Pop vocals combined with a slight Indie twist, has a soft vibe yet times where they don’t seem...

Hemingway began The Garden of Eden in 1946 and worked on the book for 15 years, during which time he also wrote The Old Man and the Sea, The Dangerous Summer, A Moveable Feast, and Islands in the Stream. A gratuitously abridged version of Hemingway's ninth -- his second posthumously released -- novel was published in 1986. The published version yields 30 chapters and 70,000 words; Hemingway’s working transcript has 48 chapters and 200,000 words. Against my better judgment, I tried to read The Garden of Eden once; I returned it to the library, totally frustrated, after literally forcing myself to read the first hundred pages. (Note to self: Do not force yourself to read anything ever again...especially posthumously released unfinished novels.)...
