Whether it’s the role of Buddy in Edgar Wright‘s Baby Driver or Cyclone in one of the biggest films of 2022, Top Gun: Maverick, Jon Hamm is always one of the most attractive people on set. Similar was the case during his stint in his breakthrough show, Mad Men, which launched Hamm and his costar Christina Hendricks’ career to prominence.
But while Hamm was the most good-looking guy on the set, whose beauty left his costars awestruck, Hendricks’ beauty too became too much to handle for the crew on the set of Mad Men.

Druids were kind of a joke during the Diablo 4 betas. Arguably the most underpowered class at that time, Druid fans could only hope that full version of the game would unleash the class’ potential. As it turns out, that’s exactly what happened.
Druids may very well be the most powerful Endgame class in Diablo 4 at the moment. Some of the things they can do border on being genuinely broken. However, they are also arguably the hardest class in the game to understand from a technique standpoint and to properly build/gear once you do understand how the class is supposed to function. Of course, that’s why we’re here.
As before, we won’t be covering Paragon Boards quite yet with these builds, largely due to a lack of proper tools as well as the fact that part of the game is still being optimized. While we’re waiting to update that information,...

As Dwayne Johnson often puts it, "the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change." That's because after years of hype-building and months of assorted and sundry promos, "Black Adam" is finally almost here.
The latest DC film will introduce Johnson's ancient Egyptian antihero Teth-Adam, a man with god-like powers who's awoken in modern times, as well as the Justice League of America. It's set to hit theaters in October, but in the meantime, Warner Bros. has at least one more new trailer up its sleeve. Take a look at the latest preview below, and see if you can feel the power shift.
A New Hero Arrives
We've seen plenty of "Black Adam" by now. First, there was a prologue-esque teaser voiced by Johnson back in 2020. Then last year's DC FanDome footage showed how a couple of explorers found Black Adam's tomb. Since then, we've already seen...

This article contains Top Gun: Maverick spoilers.
It’s the ending you always want in a feel-good summer spectacle, and few endings are as feel-good as those in the Top Gun movies. This weekend’s much belated sequel certainly led audiences to believe that this would be the swan song for Capt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a character Tom Cruise first played 36 years ago. Just about every superior he has in the Navy is eager to tell him that, no matter what, this tale marks his last mission before he’s permanently grounded.
Meanwhile, it’s heavily implied that the former Topgun champ pilots Maverick is training for a covert mission in an unspecified country are being prepared for a suicide mission. So when Maverick so impresses even the stick up Adm. Beau “Cyclone” Simpson’s ass, convincing him that Maverick should lead the suicide mission, few think he’ll be coming back alive.

Val Kilmer is back as Iceman in the newest trailer for Paramount’s “Top Gun: Maverick,” and apparently, he’s the reason Maverick is becoming a teacher.
In the new footage, we meet the latest crop of the Navy’s top pilots, and according to one them, “Everyone here is the best there is.” So, naturally, they’re a bit cocky as they wonder who their new teacher is. Enter: Tom Cruise.
As we’ve learned in previous trailers, Maverick’s reputation precedes him. But Jon Hamm’s Cyclone wants to make one thing very clear: that reputation isn’t what got him the job.
“You are here at the request of Admiral Kazansky, aka Iceman,” he says coldly, as the footage gives a quick shot of present day Kilmer. “He seems to think that you have something left to offer the Navy. What that is, I can’t imagine.

One surprise announcement during DC Fandome’s “Black Adam” panel on Saturday was that the Justice Society of America will be introduced in the film. Dwayne Johnson, who is playing the titular Black Adam, was joined by his co-star Noah Centineo, who plays Black Adam’s foe Atom Smasher, to reveal the news.
In an animated tease, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Cyclone were announced as Atom Smasher’s fellow Jsa members that will appear in the film.
“I have a knack for destroying bullies, but there are some who think I need help,” Johnson narrated as Black Adam. “Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and their new recruits: Cyclone and Atom Smasher. They call themselves the Justice Society, an organization that believes in fighting for truth and justice. Well, I’m going to teach them that the only beliefs I fight for are mine. Welcome to truth, justice and the Black Adam way.

Dwayne Johnson gave fans a taste of what his upcoming 2021 DC feature Black Adam will look like through animated concept drawings and confirming news today that the Justice Society of America characters Hawkman, Dr. Fate and Cyclone will be appearing in the film, alongside previously announced Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo).
Similar to James Wan’s Aquaman animated presentation at Comic-Con a few years ago before the pic was in production, the DC Fandome panel for Black Adam began with a sequence voiced over by Johnson, providing the the anti-hero’s origin story: “5,000 years ago, Kahndaq was a melting pot of magic and powers. Most of us had nothing except the chains around our necks. Kahndaq needed a hero; instead they got me. I did what needed to be done…and they imprisoned me for it. Now, 5000 years later, I’m free. And I give you my word…no one will ever stop me again.

As a teen just getting into the world of low-budget horror movies, and straight to VHS fare, there were a handful of directors whose work I would buy and/or rent without fail and without any prior knowledge (besides the spiel on the back of the box) of what i was getting into. One of those directors was Fred Olen Ray, the genius behind such films as Scalps, Star Slammer, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Evil Toons, Cyclone and the awesome Scream Queen Hot Tub Party. However in the intervening years it’s safe to say I haven’t had the urge to watch as many of his flicks as I did in the 80s/90s heyday...

Moon Knight is joining the McU with a TV series on Disney+. To say Marc Spector has a complicated history would be an understatement.
Since Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin in 1975’s Werewolf by Night #32, the Fist of Khonshu has been a fixture of the Marvel Universe. Through it all, Marc Spector has swapped identities, costumes, and supporting casts. But the one motif that has stayed constant with Moon Knight is the very thing that sets him apart from Batman and other caped avengers: he suffers from severe mental health issues but still fights for justice and it has made the character unique in Marvel’s pantheon. There have been a number of talented creators that tried to find the key to Moon Knight’s publishing success, but few have ever really managed to bring Moon Knight to mainstream success.

Lots of films are dedicated to, or in memory of someone. But it's not always clear why. We've been finding out...
Back when Breaking Bad returned for its final batch of episodes in August 2013, it had a dedication at the end of it. The card read 'Dedicated to our friend Kevin Cordasco'. As it turned out, Kevin Cordasco was a 16-year old who had been battling cancer for seven years, who had met both Bryan Cranston and Vince Gilligan. Cordasco died before he could ever get to see the episode dedicated to him.
I found this such a moving story, that it got me wondering about the dedications that appear on films, and what the story behind them was. After all, the dedications are there for a reason. What I uncovered was some funny stories, mainly extremely sad ones, and some extremely moving dedications.

Welcome back to This Week In Discs! As always, if you see something you like, click on the image to buy it. The Big Picture Paul (Romain Duris) is a successful lawyer with a wife and two beautiful kids, but something is amiss in his marriage. He envies his neighbor Greg’s casual freedoms, but when he discovers his wife has been loving Greg in some far more physical ways, a conversation between the two men leads to an incident that sends Paul running for his life. This French thriller is based on a novel by Douglas Kennedy, and as they did with Harlan Coben’s Tell No One, the result is a far more literate thriller than we would probably get from Hollywood. Duris is a fantastic actor, and he invests Paul with passion and emotional intensity as his mistake leads to a life he’s always wanted but was afraid to attempt. The...

February 2009 began on a sad note for many vampire lovers and horror fans with the death of iconic genre legend Robert Quarry. If there was one actor capable of equalling Christopher Lee’s immortal performance as Dracula it was Quarry as the evil Count Yorga. A veteran of stage and TV, Quarry was set to become a major horror star of the seventies, but his film career faded rapidly, a situation not helped by a terrible run of bad luck that nearly cost him his life. Despite never achieving the movie stardom he deserved, his enigmatic turn as the sardonic vampire lord has given him cult immortality.
