One elaborate scheme, one awful let down
bkoganbing23 November 2018
Hector Elizondo whose family has history with Kojak probably going back to the years before he was on television weekly sets up an elaborate scheme to get the Inspector's attention.

A little Greek girl speaking no English is left at South Street Seaport at a time when Kojak was there and as the only one fluent in Greek he takes an interest.

When parents can't be located the little girl is placed in foster care and then she's snatched again. All too irresistible a mystery for Telly Savalas..

Other than acquiring a most brash Andre Braugher as a new sidekick in this story, the film was not up to the standards of either previous films or the TV series. The climax was one letdown, like a slow air leak in a balloon.
