a great show

who couldn't love a show about post high school friendships? i loved this show and was greatly disappointed when it was replaced mid-season with 90210. (however, i learned to love 90210 as well. . .until it jumped the shark). still, glory days was a typical coming of age show about friends who enter different fields after high school: journalism, police academy, college, etc. unfortunately, the show didn't last, but walker lovejoy (brad pitt's character) was superb. walker was a wannabe journalist, trying to catch a break in the newspaper business. dave was the police officer and the "good boy" character of the bunch. T-bone, hmmm, i can't remember what his character's m.o. was. and the 4th guy, i can't even remember his name. but all four characters tried to maintain their friendships as life took them in different directions.

Brad Pitt in his youth

The pilot for this series was better than any of the episodes due to a truly stellar performance by Brad Pitt. Unfortunately, some other castings were so much weaker, the series was doomed in my opinion. The working title for the pilot was "The Kids Are Alright". It was shot in Vancouver, B.C. Canada
