She died Thursday in Miami, family spokesperson Melissa Berthier announced. No cause of death was revealed.
Buckner portrayed Hollywood bad girl Jean Harlow alongside Tommy Lee Jones in the 1977 CBS telefilm The Amazing Howard Hughes and was one of the dancers/synchronized swimmers known as the Kroffettes on The Brady Bunch Hour (the 1976-77 ABC variety show was created by Sid and Marty Krofft). She also starred opposite Sharon Stone in Wes Craven’s Deadly Blessing (1981).

Game Show Network is bulking up its stable of original series, adding three new strip series to its lineup. As announced on Tuesday morning as part of its 2024 upfronts pitch to advertisers, Game Show Network revealed it has ordered a new version of classic gamer “Tic Tac Dough,” this time hosted by Brooke Burns, as well as a U.S. version of the U.K. format “Beat the Bridge,” to be hosted by Cameron Mathison.
Also at Gsn, the network will air episodes of the recently announced syndicated game show “Flip Side,” hosted by Jaleel White (“Family Matters”). News comes as Game Show Network also recently launched the comedy gamer “Blank Slate,” hosted by Mario Lopez, in January, as well as new episodes of “Split Second,” hosted by John Michael Higgins, and “Switch,” hosted by Jeff Hephner.

Alfie Templeman wants listeners to go on a journey with his new album — and not bring their cellphones with them.
On Thursday, the London-based musician announced that he’ll release his LP Radiosoul, which includes a song featuring Nile Rodgers, on June 7. He also dropped the video for the album’s title track, inspired by the “profound impact of social media.”
With Radiosoul, Templeman hopes folks learn to “just enjoy the smaller things a bit more” when they’re listening to the album and “come off your phone for a bit and have a breather!

A newly released rough mix of “Photograph” from Def Leppard’s archives shows a different side to the Number One rock chart hit. Where the version that came out on Pyromania and dominated rock radio in 1983 finds the band singing “Photograph” and Joe Elliott responding, “I don’t want your … / I don’t need your …” the rough mix has less vocals and more space. It sounds almost like a new wave song with more prominent (and funkier) bass, less reverb, and a lot more jangly guitar in the chorus. The cowbell remains the same.

Def Leppard have announced a 40th anniversary expanded reissue of their seminal 1983 album Pyromania, arriving April 26th.
The legendary UK band is pulling all the stops for the reissue campaign, digging into the archives for previously unreleased demos, outtakes, rough mixes, and live recordings.
The 4-cd/Blu-Ray and 2-lp editions will include the original remastered album as well as these archival recordings, including a rare rough mix of “Photograph” with an unfinished vocal track and a previously “long lost” demo of “No You Can’t Do That” — an outtake and the “11th track” from the Pyromania sessions.
“Rediscovering dusty old cassettes which were brilliantly restored by [executive producer] Ronan [McHugh] and finding the long lost unfinished ’11th track’ was a journey only few of us are lucky enough to take,” remarked singer Joe Elliot in a press release. “What a trip!”

The Tyler Perry cinematic universe is expanding. The latest from the prolific producer, writer, and director is Mea Culpa, a new steamy thriller starring Kelly Rowland (The Curse of Bridge Hollow), who is also a producer on the film.
Also starring Trevante Rhodes, Sean Sagar (The Gentlemen), Nick Sagar (The Princess Switch), and RonReaco Lee (Nappily Ever After), the film centers around a criminal defense attorney who takes on the case of a seductive artist accused of murdering his girlfriend. But when burning desire takes hold, things get hot… and dangerous. “This idea came to me because I love all of those older thrillers from the ’80s and ’90s,” Perry tells Tudum. “It was fun to explore the best and worst of humanity through the genre of an exotic thriller.”

Who would have thought that one of the more enduring family movies in the last 20 years would come from Brett Ratner and star Nicolas Cage? Indeed, The Family Man was only a modest success when it came out over the holiday season in 2000, but it has since inspired rip-offs and remakes and is a beloved classic for many of us.
In it, Nicolas Cage plays a high-flying businessman named Jack Campbell, who doesn’t appreciate the little things in life, such as Christmas. It’s lonely at the top, but he consoles himself with his Ferrari, penthouse apartment in New York, and hook-ups with women such as supermodel Amber Valletta, who has a small role as his bedmate early in the film. Yet, being alone on Christmas Eve, he does a good deed when he intervenes in a convenience store standoff by showing empathy towards a wired, gun-toting customer, played by Don Cheadle,...

Social media users recently marveled that last month marked 20 years since three modern Christmas favorites — New Line’s Elf, Universal’s Love Actually and Miramax’s Bad Santa — all hit theaters within weeks of each other. Two decades later, you don’t need to feel like a cotton-headed ninny-muggins if you’re among those wondering why studios don’t release holiday theatrical offerings in the way they once did.
Although most Christmas films don’t tend to follow the path of, say, 1990’s Home Alone, which topped the domestic box office for a whopping 12 straight weeks, they had typically been a staple of the release calendar, with a handful of titles hitting theaters annually, as recently as the late 2010s. That list includes such 2016 theatrical offerings as Almost Christmas, Bad Santa 2, Office Christmas Party and Why Him?, followed by 2017’s Daddy’s Home 2, A Bad Moms Christmas and animated...

There was no changing of the guard for Netflix’s Top 10 this week.
After making the streamer’s biggest animated film debut ever, Adam Sandler’s Leo stayed atop the English-language film list from November 27 to December 3 with another 23.6M views. That made it the most-viewed title on the service for the second consecutive week.
Same thing goes for the TV side of things, where Squid Game: The Challenge remained the top series of the week despite the audience dropping dramatically. The reality competition series mustered 11.4M views, also boosting Squid Game to No. 7 on the Non-English TV list with 1.5M views.
Elsewhere in film, Family Switch debuted at No. 2 with 22.2M views, while holiday films including Best.Christmas.Ever! and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch continued to dominate the remainder of the list. David Fincher’s The Killer spent its fourth week on the list at No. 7 with 3.6M views,...

The whole purpose of the existence of movies like Family Switch is to entertain the audience for an hour or two, nothing more, nothing less. Family Switch on Netflix is a Christmas movie, but it brings the age-old concept of body swapping into the fold. The latter part is always exciting, if things are pulled off right. Family Switch takes off a little shaky, but the film interestingly gets better with each passing minute. The end product is a surprisingly well-made, genuinely fun Christmas movie with a great emotional payoff. There isn’t much confusion in the rather simple narrative, except for the character of Angelica. Let us take a closer look.
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In The Movie?
Imagine Andy Bernard in his post-Dunder Mifflin days, but with a family. Ed Helms plays Bill Walker, who is a high school music teacher. The Walker family is your staple dysfunctional family.

1968's "Planet of the Apes" is one of the most legendary sci-fi movies in cinematic history. Co-written by Rod Serling of "The Twilight Zone" fame and directed by Franklin J. Schaffner, it spawned a franchise that is still going strong to this day.
It all started, however, with the story of astronauts landing on a mysterious planet filled with intelligent apes, only to discover that they were actually on Earth in the distant future. Led by Charlton Heston, the film boasted an incredible cast — not to mention some legendary practical makeup effects that helped bring the apes to life. Unfortunately, when a film is more than 50 years old, not many people from the cast are going to be around any longer. Luckily, a couple of key cast members are indeed still here to help keep the legacy alive.

Family Switch‘s age/identity swapping premise has been done many times before. In fact, Jennifer Garner even references her prior age-swapping comedy 13 Going on 30 in Family Switch‘s trailer. But Netflix is hoping audiences are ready for a new 2023 version of the tried-and-true premise with Garner and Ed Helms in starring roles.
The cast includes Emma Myers, Brady Noon, Bashir Salahuddin, Matthias Schweighöfer, and Xosha Roquemore. Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Paul Scheer, Fortune Feimster, and Rita Moreno also star.
McG directs from a screenplay by Victoria Strouse and Adam Sztykiel, based on Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s Bedtime For Mommy novel. McG, Jennifer Lawrence, Lawrence Grey, Ben Everard, Nicole King Solaka, and Mary Viola serve as producers, with David Hyman, Jason Rosenthal, and Victoria Strause executive producing.

There has been an emergence of comedy films in Korean cinema ever since the immensely popular My Sassy Girl first blistered across theatre screens in 2001 and followed by other funny offerings that came out throughout the early 2000s like 200 Pounds Beauty (2006), and My Tutor Friend (2003). These films offer up a comical side to the stoic glitz and glamour of the Hallyu World and adding to this mix is this ‘riches-to-rags' dramedy written and directed by Ma Dae-Yoon, which features the return of Lee Min-jung with her first feature role since Wonderful Radio (2012).

“Switch” aims to remind us to appreciate the things that life has gifted us with. It does not, however, tell us that we have to give up on our dreams. It just tells us that all our dreams may not come true, but being able to bask in the glory of life itself is a luxury not many can afford, no matter how wealthy they are. The film shows how a famous actor’s life is “switched” with that of his agent, and this lets him live what he later realizes to be the life he always wanted. But all this is due to a spell, and no spell lasts forever, right?
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In ‘Switch’?

The recent Nintendo Direct surprised many viewers and teased a bunch of upcoming titles fans either have been dying to play or thought they wouldn’t receive in their wildest dreams. Of course, reality rarely measures up to dreams.
Nintendo’s biggest Direct announcements included a surprise Metroid Prime remaster/remake, a release date trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the addition of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance players to the Switch Online service. In some ways, that last announcement wasn’t that surprising. After all, the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance have sold hundreds of millions of units, far outstripping the sales of most of Nintendo’s other consoles. Many expected Game Boy titles to be available via Switch Online’s retro library much earlier than 2023, but late is usually better than never.

After years of anticipation, the beloved N64 game GoldenEye 007 is finally returning to (some) modern consoles. Fans are eager to dive back into the cherished classic, though “when” they will be able to start playing GoldenEye is proving to be a surprisingly tough question.
The GoldenEye 007 remaster is set to launch on January 27th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The good news for owners of both those consoles is that the remastered Fps will be available via each platform’s most popular subscription service (Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online). Those subscribed to those services will be able to start playing the game as soon as it is made available to the public.
If you’re not subscribed to those services…well, that’s where things get tricky. Until now, Nintendo has not revealed any plans to release a digital retail version of GoldenEye...

While the Nintendo Switch’s online collection of retro games never seems to grow as fast as anyone would like, the subscription service currently includes a pretty impressive overall collection of retro hits and obscure curiosities. Even better, the latest update to that service finally brings one of the most underrated Sega Genesis games to a wider audience.
Actually, the most recent Nintendo Switch Online update is entirely focused on Sega Genesis games. While that does mean that you’ll need to subscribe to Switch Online’s Expansion Pack service to access these recently added games, it’s nice to see Nintendo give the Genesis library some love given the once heated hardware battles between Sega and Nintendo.
Obviously, Earthworm Jim is the “headliner” of this particular update. Not only is that game still beloved by many for its strange humor and fascinating level design, but it’s nice to...

Sony Pictures Television is teaming up with corporate sibling the Game Show Network for the companies’ first joint upfront presentation to advertisers.
Live viewing and game shows’ capacity for brand integration will be two key areas of focus, an announcement said. In addition to staples like Jeopardy and some new programming, the pitch will also feature The Good Doctor, a marquee Sony property coming to the off-network syndication market in September.
Game Show Network, a highly penetrated linear channel with an active digital presence, says it boosted production last year by 32% over 2020 levels, reaching 350 hours of original programming. In an on-demand world, much of what it puts on the air is seen live, which the network sees as an advantage. Its most-viewed title is People Puzzler, a Leah Remini-hosted series based on People magazine’s crossword puzzle. Other staples include America Says, Master Minds and Chain Reaction.

Perry King has been hard-working actor for 50 years. Recently, he made his directorial debut with the feature The Divide, which he also stars in. King always dreamt of directing his own movie, and he directed The Divide with skill and honesty outside of the Hollywood system. His own Californian cattle ranch in El Dorado County served as a backdrop. The Divide, a good-natured, neo-Western, tells the strory of Jack, a rancher suffering from the onset of dementia. The feature was shot entirely in black-and-white, evoking Perry King’s favorite frontier dramas from his favorite classic Hollywood directors.
Perry King has been an acting legend since making his film debut as Billy Pilgrim’s son Robert in George Roy Hill’s remarkable Slaughterhouse-five in 1972. For the next decade, Perry starred in one memorable film after another: The Possession Of Joel Delaney (1972), The Lords Of Flatbush (1974), Mandingo (1974), The Wild Party (1975), Lipstick, Andy...

This Power Rangers Beast Morphers review contains spoilers.
I have never been more surprised at an episode of Power Rangers than I was for ‘The Silva Switch.’ In the middle of the story, out of the blue, with no warning, we got an elaborately choreographed song and dance number featuring Steel in Nate’s body as the entire cast, augmented with backup dancers, sing about great it is to be human.
I…. I am beyond stunned and delighted. I never imagined this could happen in Power Rangers. There’s never been anything like this! The most “musical” the show has been was Zeo’s ‘Another Song and Dance,’ Kira singing sometimes, Antonio’s ‘Everyday Fun,’ the incredible Tanya music video ‘Stick Together,’ and a performance from random Rangers here and there. There’s never been anything like this, a giant production with decent choreography and the entire cast joining in!

In Bo Derek’s new Reelz documentary, “In My Own Words,” the actress and former model admits, “I don’t care if anybody remembers me. I’ve never had the need to leave my mark on the world.”
That may be so. But Derek, now 63, will forever be remembered for her shot to stardom when she played Dudley Moore’s love interest in Blake Edwards’ 1979 romantic comedy “10.”
Her swimsuits and cornrows made her an instant sex symbol. But her life in the spotlight actually began a few years prior, in 1973, when she was just 17 and cast in her first movie, “Fantasies.” While on location in Greece, she fell in love with her director, former screen idol John Derek, who was 30 years her senior. Their romance ended Jon’s marriage to Linda Evans. Bo and John were married for 22 years before his death in 1988.

There’s a long and noble tradition of adapting movies into video games. Over the years, we’ve seen everything from The Godfather to Napoleon Dynamite to Back to the Future adapted into the medium, but it’s safe to say nobody predicted that Cannibal Holocaust would join them.
Ruggero Deodato’s notoriously gory and violent 1980 film pioneered the found footage format and seemed so realistic that the director was put on trial for the murder of his cast (the charges were dropped when the actors confirmed they weren’t dead). Yesterday, Deodato and Fantastico Studios announced that the ‘cannibal cycle’ would continue in Cannibal, due to hit all major consoles (even the Switch!) and PC in November 2020. And here’s how the announcement went down:
A Cannibal Holocaust video game existing should only open the door for more horror movie video games. What I'm saying here is give me a puppet master video game.

For years video games have clamoured to make the gaming experience more cinematic. Which is now the reason we have games like Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, The Last of Us and Until Dawn – games that edge more towards the “interactive adventures” we were promised back in the full-motion video era of gaming (remember those?). But what if it was the other way round? What if films looked to video games for inspiration? We’d probably end up with something like Burning Dog.
Shot completely from the hero’s perspective, a la Fps video games, Burning Dog is obviously inspired not only by video games but by Hardcore Henry, the 2016 film starring Sharlito Copley, which told the story of...

Ok, so we’re going through a very scary, very weird and very unsure time in human history right now. Many of us are staying home, working, and then making sure we have things to focus on. I figured I’d compile a list of ten video games that are big, deep and exquisitely complex that would be perfect for falling into right now. Let’s go.
10. The Outer Worlds
Now, there are more deserving games for this list, sure, but I wanted to have most, if not all, of these titles to be modern ones that are easy to buy as digital copies. Now… The Outer Worlds is a game I don’t hear much about, and it’s a shame. Feeling like Fallout and Bioshock had a baby, this sci-fi action Fps has fun RPG elements, crew-building and a bunch of humour that takes it to a new level.

That same report from Vgc which revealed that classic Super Mario games are coming to Switch also suggested that a new Paper Mario game and other new Super Mario titles are set to debut on the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Sadly, the report in question does not reveal much more information on that subject. The site’s unnamed sources just indicated that there are several Super Mario games in development for 2020 and that one of them will be a new Paper Mario installment. Beyond that, we don’t have much official information to go on.
As was the case regarding the Super Mario remasters, Nintendo issued a no comment statement regarding this report.
Just as we noted in the case of that report, there are enough reliable sources backing these rumors up for us to confidently treat these rumors as something worth speculating on. As always, though, you should wait for...
