Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Very mild overall. Some scenes of threatened violence, but few that are carried out. A man is threatened with a billy club. The same man is roughly dragged to a police station and roughly interrogated. A horse kicks holes in the walls of an apartment building, and does other damage. A man is thrown from a horse and appears to be injured in the fall. In the final scene, there is a tussle between several characters, who get knocked down. One man strikes another in the face with a piece of wood and the latter is rendered senseless. He later stands up and has a bloody face.

Profanity

  • Very mild. The word "bloody" is used once or twice(?) Actually, the words "Jesus" and "Jesus Christ" are used several times as expletives so if this is extremely offensive to you you should not watch this movie. On the other hand, the children are also shown praying quite reverently.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character is an alcoholic and is shown drinking or drunk on several ocassions early in the movie. An occasional character is shown smoking a cigarette or a pipe (?)

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a good deal of chasing and near calamity--but it more tense than intense. As with any film, some young children my be upset by the danger and tension of the drama.
