  [she notices the gunshot wound on his chest and tries to get a better look at it, but Pete stops her] 

  Officer Pete Davis : Leave it.

  Girl in Jeep : Sorry. Still sensitive, huh? You get shot or something?

  Officer Pete Davis : [after a pause]  It was a fishing accident.

  [she tries to lean in for a kiss but Pete resists] 

  Girl in Jeep : Are you all right? 'Cause we can go to a motel, on a nice cozy bed. I mean, if you're having a problem...

  Officer Pete Davis : A problem?

  [Pete takes her head in his hands and looks into her eyes] 

  Officer Pete Davis : The only problem that I have is sleazy, lowlife whores like you. That's my problem.

  [he releases her] 

  Girl in Jeep : [appalled and hurt]  What the hell's wrong with you?

  Officer Pete Davis : Get out.

  [opens the door] 

  Girl in Jeep : I'm not getting out here, asshole!

  Officer Pete Davis : [pushes her off his lap, out of the car, and onto the ground]  Just get the fuck out!

  Girl in Jeep : [shouting]  What are you crazy? I don't even know where the fuck I am!

  Officer Pete Davis : And that's exactly your fucking problem, isn't it? *Isn't it?*

  [shuts the door and drives off, abandoning her]
