Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson team up for a Christmas action flick, The Man With The Bag. Directed by Adam Shankman, the movie follows Santa and a former thief on a heist to retrieve a stolen magic bag. Schwarzenegger, known for action hits like Predator and Terminator, takes on the role of Santa in this holiday adventure from Amazon.
Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger will join forces with Reacher star Alan Ritchson for a new Christmas action flick, The Man With The Bag, from Amazon MGM Studios. Described as a “family comedy” by Deadline, The Man With The Bag will reportedly see the Predator and Terminator star donning a bright red suit and big white beard as Santa Claus, who turns to Ritchson’s naughty thief in order save the festive season in what could be the most muscular movie of all time.

Ever since Rose Glass set cinemas alight in 2019 with her feature directorial debut, Saint Maud, there has been great excitement for what is next and Love Lies Bleeding does not disappoint.
It is bold, brutal and in some parts ridiculous, but even those elements work well with the grounded world Glass has created. Nothing is approached with a half-measure – especially the violence and sex.
Opening the 20th edition of the Glasgow Film Festival (Gff), it comes as no surprise it sold out speedy-quick in what is its UK premiere.
This ’80s romance-thriller doesn’t really feel like your typical movie set in that decade. This is a dark, almost bleak, setting of a small town in Albuquerque. You aren’t battling against an avalanche of the usual cliché styles, colour, sounds and fashion of the era.
It’s grounded with its own style and stays clear of tropes. If it...

Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum, Thal, Austria. Photograph courtesy of the author.I’ve never cared for Arnold Schwarzenegger. Not about his muscles nor about his films, his political career, or his motivational speeches. Until recently I thought this lack of interest stemmed from generational affiliation. While my father, like so many growing up in the Americanized West Germany of the 1970s and ’80s, adored the shirtless poster boys of Ronald Reagan’s Hollywood, I’ve always preferred the more broken intellectual heroes of a cinema that looked critically at the American Dream. I remember how my parents sold me Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky (1976) as a film about what love and dedication means, and The Terminator (1984) as a display of desirable masculinity. During my childhood, in the 1990s, Schwarzenegger’s films used to be broadcast on German television all the time, especially during holiday season, and I grew up watching titles like...

Jingle All the Way's Myron Larabee had issues but he was a sympathetic villain. Jingle All the Way's Ted Maltin was a lot more despicable, toxic and scary. Jingle All the Way's Ted stands out as a Christmas tyrant due to his sociopathic energy in a family-friendly film.
With Christmas right around the corner, consumers are once more seeking out content for the season. Christmas movies traverse a wide array of genres, with Joel Kinnaman's Silent Night currently out in theaters for action fans. However, purists can dig into the archives for the likes of Gremlins (sci-fi), Black Christmas (slasher/horror), or Love Actually (romance).
Comedy is also one of the most beloved genres during the holiday season. The Home Alone franchise is always a big hit. But there is also Jingle All the Way, the 1996 gem from director, Brian Levant, that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as Howard Langston.

The following contains spoilers from Reacher, Season 2, Episode 1, "Atm," now streaming on Prime Video.
Reacher managed to sneak in a fun reference to Terminator 2: Judgment Day midway through its Season 2 premiere.
With the addition of Robert Patrick to the cast of Reacher Season 2, series creator/writer Nick Santora seemingly couldn't pass up the opportunity to reference the actor's most iconic role, the T-1000, from James Cameron's 1991 blockbuster film, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In the Season 2 premiere, "Atm," Jack Reacher and Frances Neagley have checked into a hotel under the aliases Starlin Castro and Sarah Conner, respectively. When this information is passed on to Patrick's mysterious villain by his henchman, he mentions that "Starlin Castro played for the Yankees, six or seven years ago." The henchman then asks, "And who's Sarah Conner?," prompting Patrick's character to dismissively reply, "I don't give a shit."

He then shared how Wilson-Sampras was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December 2022, having since undergone surgery and chemotherapy treatments. Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, who brought Sonya Blade to life in 1995’s Mortal Kombat and proved the object of Billy Madison’s juvenile affection, has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
In a statement, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras’ husband, tennis legend Pete Sampras, wrote, “This past year has been an exceptionally challenging time for my family…Last December, my wife, Bridgette, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Since then, she has had major surgery, pushed through chemotherapy and continues with targeted maintenance therapy…It is hard to watch someone you love go through a challenge like this. However, seeing our boys step up and be such strong supports of Bridgette, myself and each other has been amazing. Watching Bridgette continue to be an incredible mom and wife through it all has been inspiring.”
That Bridgette Wilson-Sampras was diagnosed nearly one year ago shows just how difficult it must be for her and her family to discuss the topic openly.

Film fans talk about the 1990s as another Golden Age of cinema. Not only is there the jam-packed year of 1999, which gave us classics such as The Matrix, Toy Story 2, and The Talented Mr. Ripley, but the 90s also saw the rise of new auteurs, including Quentin Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson, David Fincher, and Guillermo del Toro. Hollywood turned its attention to indie and foreign films, enriching a moviegoing experience that still featured fan-favorite blockbusters.
But to really see how good the 90s were, we can’t just look at the hits. Rather, the flops tell us the true tale of the decade’s quality – the movies that audiences skipped at the time but have proven their worth in the years that followed. Here are the best flops of the 1990s; films that couldn’t find a wide enough audience upon release, but still deserve attention today.

Before John Wick ushered in a new era of stuntmen turned directors, Expend4bles director Scott Waugh was one of the few exceptions to pull off the feat. Following in the footsteps of his older brother Ric Roman Waugh, the younger Waugh made his own luck by funding 2012’s Act of Valor and co-directing the action film alongside Mouse McCoy. The film starred active-duty Navy Seals, and its success then opened the door for Waugh to direct Need for Speed for Disney, as well as DreamWorks head Steven Spielberg.
Expend4bles is now Waugh’s fifth feature film, and he managed to cross off a major bucket-list item in working with Sylvester Stallone. The duo were supposed to join forces with Jackie Chan on Waugh’s other 2023 film, Hidden Strike, but the volatility of Hollywood schedules led to Stallone’s exit. The Wolfen episode of The Black Sheep was Written and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Brandon Nally, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
A black sheep doesn’t have to be considered bad to have that loving title and distinction. I mean, some of them are considered quite bad and need the layers peeled down to show off the good inside. There are other cases though. A movie can also be a black sheep if it was buried by a more popular outing like The Last Broadcast being utterly forgotten after the behemoth The Blair Witch Project made its appearance. Sometimes, like Last Broadcast, it can just be buried withing its own genre, decade, year, or as in today’s title, all 3. I’ve seen more than a few comments for this one so let’s take a look at werewolves in 1981. No,...

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie”(starring Margot Robbie as the titular doll) is, justifiably, capturing the cultural zeitgeist.
The movie itself is wonderful – a subversive, silly and surprisingly moving. Whatever you thought a “Barbie” movie would be, this isn’t it. There is no egregious product placements (despite almost every product imaginable in our world having a “Barbie” tie-ins) or feelings of gross consumerism. Instead, it’s a lovely tale about feminism and the differences between an idealized world created, in part, by the dreams of young women, and the cruel reality of the world we actually inhabit.
“Barbie” gives you such a buzz, in fact, that you’re probably looking for more things like it. We’ve compiled five movies that are, at the very least, “Barbie”-ish, and ones that we think you’ll probably enjoy.
Note: These are all movies that were not a part of Greta Gerwig...

Director John McTiernan recently revealed how Arnold Schwarzenegger's unproduced Sgt. Rock movie was crushed by John Cleese. According to author Nick de Semlyan's new book The Last Action Heroes (via JoBlo), Sgt. Rock was being developed in 1988 and 1989 with the Terminator 2: Judgment Day actor set to star in the film. However, attempting to cast Cleese in the movie ultimately ended up shutting down the entire project.
The fictional character Sgt. Rock was first created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert. Sgt. Franklin John Rock made his debut in DC Comic's Our Army at War #83 which came out in June of 1959. The character was a World War II American solider who served as an infantry officer and led the unit known as Easy Company. Unlike some other popular comic characters, Sgt. John McTiernan, who served a nearly one-year prison sentence in 2013-2014 for perjury and lying to an FBI investigator – both related to his ties to infamous private investigator Anthony Pellicano, who McTiernan hired to wiretap Rollerball producer Charles Roven – had no problem with his stint in the big house. He even suggested it made him feel young again.
More than a decade after he began his stay in prison, John McTiernan turned up at Switzerland’s Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival to, yes, serve on the jury. As reported by People, star Arnold Schwarzenegger recently reflected on the striking similarities between the Terminator franchise and present-day artificial intelligence. During An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger, held on Wednesday in Los Angeles, the Predator star shared his admiration for James Cameron and his popular sci-fi action franchise, Terminator. While chatting at the event, Schwarzenegger noted that artificial intelligence concepts the director showcased in his films have "become a reality."
While discussing present-day concerns of modern AI, Schwarzenegger said, "Today, everyone is frightened of it, of where this is gonna go. And in this movie, in Terminator, we talk about the machines becoming self-aware and they take over."
Still, despite these real-life worries, the Fubar star praised the "brilliance of writing" in the 1984 classic The Terminator (which saw the actor star as the iconic cyborg assassin) because "at that time we (had) scratched the surface of AI, artificial intelligence. Think about that.

Director of “Die Hard,” “Predator” and “The Hunt for Red October,” John McTiernan will step into the limelight at this year’s Neuchatel Intl. Fantastic Film Festival (Nifff), presenting three of his films as guest of honor while serving on the festival jury.
If anything, the choice of honoree was obvious for Nifff artistic director Pierre-Yves Walder, who calls McTiernan “the Pope of action cinema.”
“The very idea of John McTiernan meeting our public will shape the history of our festival,” Walder says. “Because his films fed a shared love of movies, for us in Neuchatel and around the world.”
“McTiernan’s films are like luxury prototypes,” says Walder. “He helped invent this extremely muscular action cinema with a rough edge, turning Bruce Willis into an icon and creating the mold for modern sci-fi action.”

Netflix’s three-part documentary, Arnold, flips the lid on Arnold Schwarzenegger and takes a deep dive into all aspects of his life. From his early days as a bodybuilder, to becoming the biggest action star in the world, to eventually becoming governor of California – Schwarzenegger has truly lived an awe-inspiring life. This means the three-part mini series offers an intimate look into not only his successes, but his failures as well. Arnold Schwarzenegger is being dissected in Netflix’s new three-part docuseries, Arnold, which looks back on his multipronged career as a bodybuilding champion, California Governor, and movie star. The series is now streaming on the service.
The stories are flowing from the 75-year-old Schwarzenegger in the series, which takes a candid look at his Hollywood era. One of the anecdotes concerns his role in the action-comedy flick The Last Action Hero, a film which was not well-received.
Schwarzenegger played action hero character Jack Slater in the 1993 film, the hero who bonds with a young movie fan, played by Austin O’Brien, in an imaginary action film. Critics and fans weren’t ready for a spoof of action films, and it grossed just $50 million worldwide.
“When Last Action Hero came out I had reached my peak after Terminator 2, having the most successful movie of the year worldwide,” Schwarzenegger says in the docuseries.

Every movie star encounters at least one flop.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recalled how his first big box office flop with Last Action Hero absolutely crushed him. The Austrian actor first made a name for himself as a bodybuilder, winning Mr. Olympia title six times before making the transition to Hollywood. Although Schwarzenegger struggled to gain major roles in the 1970s, a starring role in the 1982 epic fantasy-adventure Conan the Barbarian led to him becoming the industry's biggest action star of the decade.
Speaking in Netflix's new documentary Arnold (via Entertainment Weekly), Schwarzenegger admitted how his first major box office flop hurt him. On the heels of one of the actor's biggest successes with Terminator 2: Judgment Day, he starred in Last Action Hero, a meta action-comedy directed by Die Hard's John McTiernan and co-written by Lethal Weapon scribe Shane Black. The film appeared destined for success but was met with middling critical reviews and a poor box office return.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron reminisced about their feelings over the Last Action Hero's negative reception. In his new Netflix three-part docuseries, Arnold, the Terminator actor reflected on the highs and lows throughout his career as a bodybuilder, the former governor of California, and a Hollywood star. That included his role in the poorly received action comedy movie Last Action Hero.
The John McTiernan-directed movie follows a young boy named Danny Madigan (played by Austin O'Brien) who enjoys watching films featuring LA cop and action hero Jack Slater (played by Schwarzenegger). While struggling with the death of his father, Danny is pulled into an action movie thanks to a magical ticket from a theater employee (played by Robert Prosky). Once transported into the film, Danny comes face to face with his favorite character, Jack.
Last Action Hero opened with $15.3 million at the domestic box office and $50 million worldwide.

Netflix's Arnold sees the screen legend open up about his heartbroken response to Last Action Hero's failure. The second episode of Arnold focuses on Schwarzenegger's action movie career, where he scored back-to-back hits with movies like The Terminator, Commando, Predator and many more. The documentary series also sees his former rival turned friend Sylvester Stallone open up about how bitter their box-office feud used to be, and how they always sought to outdo each other in terms of physique, explosions or bodycounts.
Stallone also admits Arnold won their box-office battle. Arnold explores the lows of Schwarzenegger's life and career too, including a notable turning point in his movie stardom. Last Action Hero was his follow-up to Terminator 2: Judgment Day and was naturally hyped to become a major blockbuster. However, the film had the misfortune to open next to Jurassic Park, which demolished it financially. Last Action Hero...

Arnold Schwarzenegger opened up about a heated exchange with The Terminator director James Cameron over arguably his iconic line: "I'll be back."
Per Insider, Cameron appeared in the Netflix docuseries Arnold and recalled how Schwarzenegger didn't like saying the catchphrase while filming the 1984 blockbuster The Terminator. "Sometime in the middle of the shoot, we're doing this police station scene. The line is, 'I'll come back.' It wasn't meant to be like a big moment at all," Cameron said. "It was literally meant to be, on its face, 'No problem, I'll come back.' For some reason, Arnold didn't say, 'I'll come back.' I said, 'Well, just say 'I'll be back.' Keep it simple.'" However, Schwarzenegger countered that he thought the catchphrase sounded "funny" and wanted to change it to something that sounded more "machine-like" such as "I will be back," which led to the actor arguing with The Terminator director.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was riding high throughout the ’80s and early ’90s with hit after hit like Predator, Twins, Total Recall, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but he had his first big box-office flop with Last Action Hero in 1993, an experience which upset him greatly.
Last Action Hero followed a young movie fan who received a magical movie ticket that transported him into the world of Jack Slater, a fictional action movie hero played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was a fun concept, but the film was a critical and box-office disappointment with a domestic gross of $50 million. In Netflix’s recent three-part docuseries Arnold, the actor recalled how the failure of the movie affected him. “When Last Action Hero came out I had reached my peak after Terminator 2, having the most successful movie of the year worldwide, I cannot tell you how upset that I was [about the negative Last Action Hero reviews],” Schwarzenegger said.

Fubar star Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to put his new title of Netflix's Chief Action Officer to good use.
In a new Netflix promo, Schwarzenegger and Extraction 2 actor Chris Hemsworth share an elevator, with the former telling the latter how to insert some action one-liners into his fight scenes. "Like you could hit a guy with a giant clock and say, 'Your time is up,'" suggests Schwarzenegger in the clip. However, Hemsworth is not too receptive to the Netflix Cao's ideas. While a full-blown Fubar/Extraction crossover seems unlikely given how different Schwarzenegger and Hemsworth's respective action projects are, the Extraction 2 star does admit to being a fan of one-liners when he exits the elevator and tells the Netflix Cao, "Hasta la vista... baby" -- a popular quote from Schwarzenegger's 1991 sci-fi action movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

In addition to her storied musical career, the late rock legend Tina Turner may have the best run of movie character names of all time. She only played someone else on screen three times in her life, but each occasion was memorable (and memorably named). From The Acid Queen in Ken Russell's "Tommy" to Aunty Entity in "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" to The Mayor in "Last Action Hero," Turner's short-lived cinematic career was defined by roles that felt like they were crafted just for her — with stylish names to match.
Turner's biggest film role came via George Miller, who really did craft the role of the third "Mad Max" film's villain around Turner. According to a retrospective written for NME in honor of the film's 35th anniversary, Miller and co-writer Terry Hayes made up the role for Turner after Miller was captivated by her after seeing her in a British TV interview.

Released three decades ago, perhaps Last Action Hero was just too far ahead of its time. Directed by John McTiernan, the film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as both himself and Jack Slater, the main character of a fictional action movie franchise. Austin O'Brien also stars as a young boy who gets magically transported into the Jack Slater universe, and when the movie's villain (Charles Dance) escapes into the real world, Jack Slater follows him through the fourth wall to put a stop to him. Though an action film itself, the movie was also a comedy, satirizing the well-known tropes of the genre.
Recently, Schwarzenegger named Last Action Hero as his most underrated movie. While the film didn't have the warmest welcome from critics at the time, it has endured as a cult classic, as Schwarzenegger noted how fans constantly tell him how much they love that movie. Tina Turner was, by all accounts, simply the best. Not just as a musician, where she released unforgettable hits like "Proud Mary" and "What's Love Got to Do With It?", but also as an actor. You probably remember her scene-stealing, villainous turn in the classic post-apocalyptic action thriller "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome," where she played a woman trying to reboot the world by bringing barbaric capitalism and grotesque industry back to the wastelands.
Auntie Entity was certainly Turner's most memorable role and even won her an NAACP Image Award for Best Actress, but the singing sensation did have an acting career beyond "Thunderdome." You can find her in musical classics like "Tommy" and musical not-so-classics like "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," two films that emphasized her titanic celebrity as a musician. She was also the subject of the Oscar-nominated biopic "What's Love Got to Do With It," which...

Tina Turner, a legend of R&b and pop music who also made memorable movie appearances, has died. She was 83.
Born Anna Mae Bullock in the farming community of Nutbush, Tennessee, she was shuttled alongside older sister Ruby between various relatives as a child and her mother left her abusive father when she was 11. At 16, the girls were reunited with their mother in St. Louis.
Following graduation, she started frequenting St. Louis nightclubs while also working as a nurse’s aide. It was at one of these nightspots that the teen lucked into becoming a member of Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm in 1957. Turner debuted under the name Tina Turner in 1960 with her duet with Ike, 'A Fool in Love.' That kicked off a string of tracks that she’d be forever associated with, even if they didn’t all become hits, including 'It’s Gonna Work out Fine',...

Tina Turner in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
Just two years after documentary Tina made its début at the Berlinale, the star whose story it tells has passed away. Aged 83, the Tennessee-born singer and actress had suffered from a long illness, according to her publicist.
Turner, often described as the Queen of Rock and Roll, rose to fame in the late 1950s but went on to stage a spectacular comeback as a solo artist in the 1980s, at one point making it into the Guinness Book of Records for attracting the largest ever crowd for a live show by a single performer. Although her love of singing meant that a serious venture into acting was never on the cards, she made her mark as the formidably Aunty Entity in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, also appearing in Last Action Hero and Tommy. Her contributions to soundtracks include hit Mad Max theme We Don't Need Another Hero.

Tina Turner, one of the greatest singers of all time, is dead at 83. Deadline reports she “died today after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.” Mere words can’t do justice to what an absolute legend she was, with a career that made her a top draw that spanned generations. She was a household name if you were a child of the 80s, but guess what? She was also a household name in the 60s, 70s, 90s and 2000s too. Arguably her greatest period as a solo artist was the eighties when the former soul diva reimagined herself as a rock goddess, topping the charts with a string of iconic hits, including “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Private Dancer,” “The Best,” “Better Be Good to Me” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero.” That last song was the lead single off the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome soundtrack,...

From the very beginning, Arnold Schwarzenegger was enthusiastic about "Last Action Hero," and for good reason. His 1993 action blockbuster had an ace up its sleeve. Namely, that it was a meta take on the very genre to which it purported to belong.
The film tells the story of a boy named Danny who's transported into his favorite action franchise by way of a magic movie ticket, finding himself alongside his hero, Jack Slater (Schwarzenegger). That premise provided a way for co-screenwriter Shane Black -- who rewrote the script along with David Arnott based on the original screenplay by Zak Penn and Adam Leff -- to send up the action genre that the film's star had helped build.
In fact, Black himself had a hand in establishing the kind of '80s action "Last Action Hero" was parodying, having penned 1987's "Lethal Weapon." All of which made for an ironic twist...

It’s funny, as a child of the 90s, many peers of the same generation never once heard that the Arnold Schwarzenegger satirical send-up of action movies, Last Action Hero, was an unpopular flop. It was odd, sure. But it was fun. In a follow-up of yesterday’s report on Schwarzenegger’s candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the muscular icon responds to the newfound audience for the John McTiernan action comedy. Schwarzenegger was bombarded with criticism when the movie was released, but now he’s pleasantly surprised to see the reception coming around as he thinks it’s under-appreciated.
While he hit big with another action comedy, True Lies, just a year later, Arnold comes to Last Action Hero‘s defense when asked about what he feels is his most underrated role, even citing it as a victim in a political crossfire. He answered, “Last Action Hero. It was slaughtered before anybody saw it.

For those of you who've been clamoring for "True Lies 2" (i.e. Tom Arnold), the upcoming series "Fubar" is likely the closest you're going to get. Created by television veteran Nick Santora, the show stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a CIA operative who's been lying to his daughter about his profession for years. Turns out the familial duplicity is a two-way street, as his daughter (Monica Barbaro) has been fibbing about her work as a spy, too. When the father and daughter are assigned to work together, their relationship essentially begins anew. And, yes, Tom Arnold is along for the ride.
This is Schwarzenegger's first official TV endeavor, and, if nothing else, it's got a fun supporting cast in Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle (so good on "AP Bio"), and Scott Thompson. Phil Abraham ("The Sopranos" and "Mad Men") directed the pilot, which is also encouraging. But, really, we're here for the...

Arnold Schwarzenegger has had an amazing career in Hollywood (and beyond), but like any veteran actor, not every film he's been in has been a big hitter at the box office. With that said, there are some films Schwarzenegger has starred in that developed cult followings after coming up short when first arriving in theaters. Fans will have their own opinions on which of these films may be the most underrated, and the actor himself is also quick to respond with one particular title: Last Action Hero.
Released back in 1993, Last Action Hero starred Schwarzenegger as Jack Slater, a main character in a fictional action movie series; Schwarzenegger also plays himself. The film also stars Austin O'Brien as a ten-year-old boy who's magically transported into the world of the Jack Slater movie universe. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the star of the upcoming Netflix action series Fubar, recently shared that he thinks Last Action Hero is his most underrated film.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Schwarzenegger was asked to divulge his most underrated role. "Last Action Hero. It was slaughtered before anybody saw it. It was literally a political attack because I was campaigning for [former President George H.W. Bush], but Bill Clinton won," explained the fan-favorite actor. "Last Action Hero was great — it wasn’t fantastic, but it was underrated. Now, more and more people are seeing it and saying, 'I love this movie.' I’m getting the residual checks, so I know it’s true. It made money — that’s always an important thing for me. Because it’s show business, right?"

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a ritual.
The “Austrian Oak” would stare at his naked body in the mirror as if he were a living work of art, a figure to be sculpted to perfection by lifting hundreds of pounds of iron in endless repetition. His goal was to shatter bodybuilding records and then become Hollywood’s biggest action star — and it worked. Now, decades later, when Schwarzenegger sees his 75-year-old body, what does he like about it? “Nothing!” Schwarzenegger says, smiling yet serious. “My whole life I look at the mirror and see the best-built man, and all of a sudden I see a bunch of crap. It’s terrible! You get these wrinkles under your eyes. You get wrinkles under your pecs. You see the fucking poodle!” The poodle? “Budle,” he corrects. “It’s Austrian for your stomach sticking out. Where the fuck did that come from? It’s not pleasurable.

He took over the series regular role of Shane Langston from Rory Cochrane, who was originally cast in September before exiting at the end of last year due to scheduling conflict as the production schedule changed, Deadline has learned. He had not filmed any scenes, so the recasting did not require reshoots, I hear. Production on Season 2 of Reacher wrapped in late February.
Langston is a streetwise former NYPD detective with a questionable track record who is now head of security for a private defense contractor.
From writer and showrunner Nick Santora, based on the novels by Lee Child, the series follows Jack Reacher (Ritchson), a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life.

Action star Sylvester Stallone is set to return for a Cliffhanger sequel from Greenland director Ric Roman Waugh. Released in 1993, the original action thriller follows ex-Ranger Gabe Walker (Stallone) and his former partners as they are lured to a plane crash site by a gang of international thieves. Exclusive: Hans and Franz, the popular Saturday Night Live bodybuilding sketch that was set to be turned into a movie, is being revisited as a podcast.
The sketch originally starred Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon and was popular during the late 1980s. It starred Carvey and Nealon as a pair of muscle-bound Austrian bodybuilders and was inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In the early ‘90s, it was developed as a musical movie, first at Sony, then at Columbia Pictures, that was set to star Carvey and Nealon as well as Schwarzenegger himself.
A script was written by Nealon, Carvey, Robert Smigel and O’Brien, but it never made it past development, widely considered to be a result of the box office failure of Last Action Hero as well as SNL movies such as Stuart Saves His Family and It’s Pat.
The group have now reteamed and turned the idea, or at least some of it,...

Hang on for some truly nail-biting news: Sylvester Stallone will reprise his role as Gabe Walker in a reboot of his 1993 mount-climbing thriller “Cliffhanger.” He’ll also produce. Taking over for director Renny Harlin is Ric Roman Waugh (the upcoming “Kandahar”). Neal H. Moritz’s Original Film will produce with Rocket Science and Stallone and Braden Aftergood’s Balboa Productions, and sales will launch in Cannes this month.
Stallone starred in the original film as Walker, a ranger in the Colorado Rockies suffering from trauma following a fatal accident who soon gets embroiled in a scheme involving a sinister former Military Intelligence officer who is after some missing Treasury money. Since the money was lost in the mountains, the bad guys turn to Walker to try and find it.
