Sex & Nudity

  • Nothing serious, though rape is briefly mentioned.
  • A creepy hick is clearly sexually harassing a teenage girl.

Violence & Gore

  • The goriest scene shows a young man (who got bitten by a tick) who starts to have a seizure, it is shown how a large creature forces itself out of the boys body. His limbs, face and torso get ripped open in graphic detail.
  • Lots of gross, gooey scenes of the title creatures burrow inside people, causing them to bleed profusely and make their flesh bubble. There's also lots of gory moments were the ticks get messily squished or explode

Profanity

  • About 10 F bombs many religious profanity and a fair share minor swear words and some insults.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A character lights a marijuana cigarette
  • Growing marijuana is a key part of the story. Steroids are also used as well.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Nothing terribly scary, but the loads of really gross scenes and gory moments may be a bit much for some viewers.
