Sex & Nudity

  • A photo of a couple shows a voluptuous woman with huge breasts in a tiny bikini.
  • During the song "Roll Back the Rock (to the Dawn of Time)", a child's butt crack is briefly shown.
  • There are several flirty gestures between Elsa and Rex and Louie and Cecilia.
  • A stand in Professor Screweyes' circus can be briefly seen in the background with the name "Naughty Boys Delight."

Violence & Gore

  • Lot of Mild Cartoon Violence.
  • When Cecilia mentions the reason she is unhappy on Thanksgiving is her parents, Louie, in a throwaway line, casually asks, "Why? Do they beat you?"

Profanity

  • Professor Screweyes mentions an attraction at his circus named "Hellzapoppin."
  • Minor childish insults like "dopes" and "morons."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Professor Screweyes can be seen smoking in a couple of scenes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Before the dinosaurs are given Brain Grain cereal, they can look quite frightening to young children. They are much more realistic and menacing looking.
  • Professor Screweyes and his circus can be very frightening to children. The entire purpose of the circus is to frighten people, with demon-like creatures carrying pitchforks, skulls, gothic-looking people and so on (though it's all just people in costumes). Prof. Screweyes also literally has a screw that has replaced his left eye, which he uses to put people under trances.
  • Professor Screweyes' fright radio is quite creepy, even to older audience members. Soul-like children apparitions pour out of the radio as they wail what scares them most.
  • U: very mild peril, innuendo, scary images.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • Louie and Cecilia kiss twice at the end of the movie.
  • Elsa tells Rex that he makes her feel like she could lay an egg.
  • When Stubbs the Clown quits the circus at the end of the movie, he pulls out a bunch of random things that Prof. Screweyes can keep, including a giant clam which opens to reveal a mermaid with revealing cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • Louie and Cecilia are coaxed into signing a contract which would make them part of Professor Screweyes' circus. To do this, they must prick their fingers. We see the blood on their fingers and on the paper that they "sign."
  • In order to save the kids, the dinosaurs take Prof. Screweyes' "Brain Drain" pills, which reverts them back to their animalistic states. During this state, Rex picks the Prof. up and drags him towards his mouth like he is going to eat him. The Prof. reaches out and pricks his finger on one of Rex's teeth, and we see the blood on his finger.
  • At the end of the movie, it is implied that Professor Screweyes is eaten by crows. We see them gather on Professor Screweyes' form and when they fly away a second later, there is nothing left of him but the screw.
