It's official: David Fincher is coming to Australia. Just when I thought the salivating among film fanatics had reached its zenith due to the antipodean visit of Paul Thomas Anderson last year, along comes news that the Social Network, Fight Club and Aerosmith: Big Ones You Can Look At director will shoot his Disney epic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in Australia.The film which will be shot at Gold Coast's Village Roadshow Studios, was lured here by a massive $21.6 million dollar grant by the Australian government. The same government gave The Wolverine producers $12.8 million to shoot here. You know it's a strong economy here when the government can get away with that, and I'm looking forward to them wheeling out Paul Hogan for another series of ads:...
